No prob. I meant as well as LucyT for providing the link, you should also thank me for the "A Hard, Scathing Look at the Anti-War Movement", because I'm the guy who wrote it. But if anything, I should be thanking her.
Snip: Let us develop further what this means for the precious metals investor, and why certain bureaucratic forces would want to paint a picture of a world awash in gold and terrorism.
Gold is first and foremost a political metal in that it is fungible and leaves no tracks. Cash can be laundered but, heck, gold is a virtual Laundromat. It is malleable, untraceable, easy to transport and extremely valuable.
Mining company funded AQ terrorists
Snip: The mining industry is one of the planet's biggest polluters. But Echo Bay had another dirty little secret. It was funding Al Qaeda-linked terrorists.
hen Kapitan Inggo walked through the gates at Echo Bay's mining operation in the Philippines, he bypassed the reception area and went round the building to the offices of the security personnel. He didn't ask directions. Inggo, one of the Philippines' ten most-wanted men, knew his way around...
Snip: In the last few years, large amounts of evidence has come to light exposing the manipulation and capping of the price of gold, particularly by western governments and central banks. While western nations have being holding down the price of gold, through selling and leasing, eastern and Arab nations have been snapping it up at incredibly cheap prices.
It is an irony to me that, while we declare war on terrorism, we sell our future financial security at vastly undervalued prices. In a recent article, Bill Murphy from the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee put it this way "What is the point of winning the war on terrorists only to be defeated by them in years to come when they, and their recruited colleagues, buy up the physical gold market and bankrupt America?"
Earlier this year, well before the recent acts of terrorism, I interviewed Adam Hamilton. In the course of our conversation, we discussed this shift of gold from the vaults of the west to the east. At the time I said "I've always thought and said that it's ultimately shows a shift of nation's power. Not only in the short term but in the longer term, the more gold a nation amasses, or a block of nations amass, to themselves, ultimately the greater power they will have, that is at least what we have seen through history."
MamaDearest's Housekeeping Rules #462: Dust is a protective covering.
My Dad was a Merchant Marine and my son was in the Air Force. Patriotism runs big in my family. In fact, it runs HUGE. We have no love lost for the war-protesters who live here and protest as a result of those who serve our country to protect their freedoms. Now ya got me going.....
If only those people had enough pride in their country and intelligence to know not to run it down to the advantage of terrorists and dictators... Sadly they've learned this behavior from liberal American (and I use that word loosely) politicians.
Snip: The fearless lions of Allah, Mujahideen of the Islamic State of Afghanistan have launched an attack on an American Military Caravan in the Jiboon area, in the province of Laghman. The confrontation lasted several hours and the Mujahideen retreated safely to their bases upon arrival of enemies warplanes. One Mujahid was slightly wounded but the cross worshippers suffered heavy casualties as evinced by witnessing enemy choppers making several trips to evacuate dead and wounded cross worshipers.
Radical Islam and British Muslims
Snip: Though experts had been warning that a terrorist attack on London was inevitable, 7/7 wasnt the first time that British Muslims were involved in global jihad. In fact, there is evidence that they have been taking part in this global jihad since as early as 1990.
Snippets: Perhaps no one since Adolph Eichmann has been charged with complicity in more Jewish murders than Sami Al-Arian, the Florida professor affiliated with Islamic Jihad.
Neither ABC, CBS nor NBC led with the terror case on their evening newscasts. ... In fact, according to TVEyes, the 24-hour monitor system, none of the networks reported the acquittal at all.
It was definitely big news on every [Arab] network, said Al-Arabiyas Washington bureau chief, Nadia Bilbassy. [Al-Arian] is a well-known professor and advocate for Palestinian causes.
US border wall denounced as shameful and disgraceful by Vincente Fox
Snip Fox, speaking in Tamaulipas state across the border from Texas, said such extreme security measures would violate immigrants' rights.
"The disgraceful and shameful construction of walls, the increasing enforcement of security systems and increasing violation of human rights and labor rights will not protect the economy of the United States," he said.
He again called for the easing of U.S. immigration laws to benefit millions of undocumented Mexican fruit pickers, waiters and janitors working north of the border, a complex bilateral issue that has at times strained relations with Washington.
"I hope that next year we finally get an immigration agreement," Fox told immigrants crossing the border back to Mexico to spend the holidays with their families.
I don't hink most people realize that it is not the jihadi that is raping all the white girls, instead it is the young men of the muslim background.
I understand rape in war, it was always an added warrior benefit.
But this 5 men gang rape, is something that only the very mentally ill do.
I have lost all my christian thoughts for them, there is something very evil in the way they are being raised.
We have a case in the courts right now in Colorado, both the husband and wife are in jail for keeping a lady as a prisoner, slave and sex.
Calpernia has exposed several cases here at Free Republic, she is good at research and has started threads on the child rape and other parts of that ugly part of this world.
Our State Department has reports on this under Human Rights.
I can't think of the all the terms that it is under in our F.R. search engine, just woke up and the brain isn't charged as yet. Need more coffee.
Brain still working, slowly.
When the people of Cuba left, as Castro took over the country, many of them brought their employees with them.
Not as slaves, but as trusted family members.
I needed a baby sitter in the early 1960's, and someone knew someone, etc.
Flora and her daughter came and lived with me for several months, her story was that the family brought them out, but when they got to America, they were not able to be the wealthy family they were in Cuba, still they kept the employees with/near them, and helped them get started as Americans.
I saw the families photo album, lovely home, but not millionaires, what we would call upper middle class.
You will find the Cuban story repeated many times.
When a saudi comes here, they bring slaves.
Summing it up...

OPINION: Ahh, jihadunspun...makes one wonder how the weather in Canada is.
Well Cindy I can only speculate that the political "weather" is inclement, judging by this proposal when it comes to Canada!
Canada drafts proposal to shield personal information from the US
Snip: Published: December 13, 2005 - OTTAWA -- A federal proposal would allow government departments to immediately cancel a contract with an American firm if it hands personal information about Canadians to U.S. anti-terrorism investigators.
The planned move was sparked by concerns the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation can now see sensitive Canadian data the government supplies to American firms doing business with departments in Ottawa.
The USA Patriot Act, passed following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, gave the FBI broader access to records held by firms in the United States. The FBI can apply to a U.S. court to have a company disclose records, including information about Canadians, to assist with investigations involving the prevention of terrorism or espionage.
Draft guidelines prepared for federal departments say that means U.S. officials could obtain information about Canadians through American firms or their affiliates, even if the data is located in Canada. "Although the risk of U.S. authorities using the USA Patriot Act in this way is minimal, that risk exists," say the guidelines, obtained by The Canadian Press.
The federal Treasury Board led a working group to develop special clauses for inclusion in future business requests and contracts to lessen the risk. The draft guidance document suggests, in the interest of upholding Canadian privacy laws, that federal databases of sensitive personal information created by contractors be located in Canada and be accessible only within the country.
However, it recognizes international trade obligations may make this impossible. In such cases, the government suggests contractors must agree to respect Canadian privacy laws as a condition of contract. The guidelines say that if the privacy risk is considered high, a federal department might go so far as to cut off the flow of personal information to a foreign firm should it be "presented with an order" - such as an FBI notice - compelling release of data about Canadians.
In general, the guidelines encourage departments to assess each potential contract case-by-case to gauge the possibility of privacy invasion, the expectations of Canadians, and likelihood of injury to a person's "career, reputation, financial position, safety, health or well-being."

"Canada calls in Iran diplomat over "hate" message"
Iranian.ws ^ | Dec 14, 2005 | Reuters
Posted on 12/14/2005 9:09:12 PM PST by M. Espinola
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "With so many mullahs' agent roaming around freely in Canada, Toronto named the "mullahs' agents capital of the world"
Canada has called in Iran's top diplomat in the country to complain about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statement that the Holocaust was a myth, Prime Minister Paul Martin said on Wednesday.
Canada considers the comment, which has drawn international criticism, to be "unacceptable", and called on the Iranian president to stop "spreading messages of hate and show more restraint," Martin said."
Snip: Department of Homeland Security to Regulate Ammonium Nitrate-based Fertilizer Under Legislation Introduced by Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA) Members of the House Committee on Homeland Security today voted unanimously to help block terrorists' access to ammonium nitrate fertilizer, which when combined with various fuels has been used to create improvised explosive devices that have claimed many victims.
This deadly combination was found in the device used by domestic terrorists Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. These devices also have been used internationally in several terrorist incidents.
The Subcommittee on Prevention of Nuclear and Biological Attack today heard testimony on the importance of regulating this potentially dangerous substance. The Subcommittee also marked up legislation introduced by the Committee's Ranking Member, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), and Rep. Curt Weldon (R-PA), the Committee's Vice Chairman.
The "Secure Handling of Ammonium Nitrate Act" gives the Department of Homeland Security the authority to regulate entities and individuals that produce, sell, or distribute ammonium nitrate-based fertilizer. This bill would allow the Department, working with the Department of Agriculture, to develop regulations to create a registry of those who handle ammonium nitrate- based fertilizer.
Only facilities and people registered with the Department would be able to legally access ammonium nitrate-based fertilizer. Anyone purchasing ammonium nitrate would be required to have a registration number. Retailers would be required to keep records of ammonium nitrate sales for at least three years. The records must include the purchaser's name, address, telephone number, registration number, and other valid State-issued identification, the date of sale and quantity sold. Violators are subject to civil penalties of up to $50,000.
With friends like Mexico and Canada, who needs enemies?
OPINION: When it comes to the governments of Mexico and Canada -- I agree. Ditto.
About a year ago, I did searches on mining company owners, and found that the Canadian companies are owned by the saudi as I recall it.
So?
In the west for the past 30 years, our mines have sold to
the Canadian Companies.
IfI wanted to sell a mining claim here, that had valuable minerals or gold, it would go to a Canadian company.
Norco bought most of this area.
Keep in mind that 10 miles from my home, there are mining claims that dig for the rare earths, the only one that I
can think of right now is germanium, or something like that, these rare earths are sold in bags, not the many tons of most ores.
I was never involved in them, and have little knowledge on them, but they are related to the nuclear family.
I will admit that I was shocked when I found who owns our minerals.
I have used Norco, as they were the main company buying the mineral claims here, when I was active.
My googles are not all that good tonight, have a foggy head again.
This one will show part of the picture:

Why? "All suffer heavily from political correctness," he explains.
PC still infects the Pentagon, four years after jihadists hit the nation's military headquarters.
Not to worry, our nation's politicians are now working on banning the explosives used in the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. This equates to 10 years of inaction and the possibility of it having been stockpiled by other whackos. So you see, give them enough time to recognize they have a problem and they'll be "working on it." Political timeframe: (your guess is as good as mine). Terrorist timeframe: at their first and best opportunity, whether we are ready or not.
It has been over 10 years since Oklahoma City was bombed.
They move fast on the dangerous things.
It won't matter if they put in the law, do you remember all the stolen bags of the Amon. Nit. Fertilizer in Colorado in the last year?
If you are in construction or mining, the storage area is as far away from the equipment as you can get it.
If you ever enter Kingman on Hwy 93 from the west, at the top of Coyote Pass, look to the right, that hole in the mountain, is where the explosives were stored when the road was built.
The old Beale Wagon Road is on the left side of the highway, you can still see parts of it and the rocks that were carefully wedged together, to fill the washes off the hills.
The Beale Wagon Road, was built by the army, so they could reach the west, when the Civil War was brewing.
Sour dough bread...sounds good.
