Glad to hear all is well (considering). My first thoughts are that the agressive, below the radar efforts of intel and LEOs have kept the terrorists off balance enough to prevent them from further exposure by staging an attack. If OBL is still tightly engaged, the Paki earthquake could have significant disrupted his C3. Best hope was that it killed him (and we haven't heard from him in a while). As far as the Haj is concerned, it is a highly emotionally charged time for the fanatic, meaning plenty of dodo suicide bomber potential. However, getting the necessary people, bombs and targeting down to effect an attack is problematical as long as US and global efforts force them to keep their heads low.
If any, I'd expect Australia and/or Italy to be hit during this time frame or sooner. No hard evidence, but Italy is due to have elections shortly. Britain is continuing aggressive counter terror ops, our folks aware of the potential significance will continue counter ops.

Iraq: Al Qaeda to execute two Moroccans as two US soldiers die
Al Qaeda in Iraq stated on Thursday it had decided to kill two Moroccan embassy employees it abducted last month, according to an Internet posting.
"The legislative authority of al Qaeda organisation in Iraq has decided to carry God's law against the infidels and has ruled to execute them," the group declared.
"After the court looked into the detainees' case, it was proven, without any doubt, that they are followers of the despots (U.S.) and infidel Moroccan government," the group said.
Meanwhile, in Balad, 50 miles north of Baghdad, an American soldier was mortally injured when his patrol came under fire Wednesday, the military said, according to the AP. One gunman died when the US patrol returned fire and another was killed when a U.S. Air Force jet blasted the building where he had taken refuge, the military added.
Another American soldier from the Army's Task Force Baghdad was killed by a roadside bomb Wednesday in a southern district of the capital, the military confirmed. All in all, six US troops were reported dead on Wednesday.

Berlusconi says he was terror-plot target

ROME (AP) — Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi said in comments published Thursday that he was the target of a suicide terror plot.
"I am the object of a direct threat," Berlusconi said in an interview with the Italian daily Libero. Asked what that threat was, he said: "A suicide bomber in the stadium against me."
Berlusconi did not give other details, and his office in Rome declined to comment.
He owns the soccer team AC Milan, and frequently watches games at Milan's San Siro stadium, including a game there on Oct. 30.
The ANSA news agency reported that Milan prosecutors were unaware of any plot against the premier at the soccer stadium.
Berlusconi made the comments while seeking to explain his position on Iraq and a recent TV interview in which he said he tried repeatedly to dissuade President Bush from going to war and was never convinced military force was the best way to bring democracy to the Iraq.
Berlusconi told Libero he gave the TV interview "so that it could be amplified by (Arab broadcaster) Al-Jazeera and I could appear as what I am: the leader of a country that in every way has tried to avoid war."
"It's not about me. This is about Italy," Berlusconi told Libero. "We are exposed to deadly terrorist attacks."
The TV interview was broadcast Monday while Berlusconi was visiting Washington.
Berlusconi, a staunch U.S. ally, sent 3,000 troops to Iraq.
"Our troops in Iraq are not there to occupy; they are peaceful forces under the aegis of a U.N. resolution," Libero reported Berlusconi as saying.

FBI joins investigation after CHP traffic stop
RED BLUFF - A routine traffic call for a reckless driver led the California Highway Patrol to uncover over 32 fraudulent credit cards, driver's licenses and identification cards.
The CHP received a report of a reckless driver northbound on 99E Sunday around 5:55 p.m., according to CHP information officer Steve Whalen.
Dimitri Alexeevich Bagramyan, 33, of West Hollywood provided the officer with a license that was found to be suspended, because of the suspension he was cited and his vehicle was going to be impounded. A search of the vehicle uncovered the fraudulent cards.
Bagramyan was arrested and is being held in the Tehama County Jail on over 60 charges. Bail has been set at $2 million.
Whalen indicated that the FBI has joined local law enforcement in the investigation of the case.
