What? The law wasn't broken! The Special Counsel concluded Valerie Plame wasn't outed.

I agree with you 100% that Plame wasn't outed -- not by any Republican, anyway.

But I don't think we can say that the "Special Counsel concluded Valerie Plame wasn't outed."

Fitzgerald seemed deliberately and repeatedly fuzzy on that point at his press conference last Friday. Technically, Plame may still have had the word "covert" stamped on her personnel file over at CIA in 2003, even though she wasn't actually doing covert work anymore. I'm guessing Fitzgerald has decided he doesn't have to nail down that issue one way or the other, because it's moot under the law if nobody knowingly and deliberately outed a covert agent.

What is accurate to say, IMO, is that Fitzgerald has concluded that neither Libby nor Rove deliberately outed someone they knew to be a covert agent.

I would say "Apology accepted Senator Reid" as he grasps his throat and drops dead as his windpipe is crushed by the invisible power of the Dark Side of the Force. Then I would look at the rest of the Rats and ask if any of them would like to apologize too.

LOL, I called my senators and told them (well their staffers) that they were being called spineless, and that they needed to start acting like the majority party.

Even if they don't need to get so loud or in your face with this, they still need to start acting like the majority party.

Add this to the moronic tactics of the Dems: This afternoon on Fox, the lady leader of the DNC, spewing at Ann Coulter, said "and the impeachments that were handed down last week...."

Just more proof that the Dems are delusional.

So true.

My prediction? This will all be a tiny squib in all but the most liberal house organs. Even the cable nets are moving away from this 'story' already.

Sorry Dems, back to Alito.

I honestly hope they do this and they continue to make themselves look stupid...

as much damage that may or may not have happened over the Miers fiasco, the Dems are handing the ball right back to the GOP with this stupid childish crap

Exactly right Pukin. Schumer and co. will break their arms tonight patting themselves on the back for taking over this news cycle, but they won NOTHING of substance. It is a sign of extraordinary weakness of the Democrat Party that all they can do now is pull stunts in the Senate to try to win one news cycle.

Roberts is talking about dim memo sent around 1 year half ago, saying to pull the trigger on the investigation when it sees fit. WTG Roberts, bring out the truth.

The RATS are politicizing the Senate Intelligence Committee. They don't care what negative impact that has on our country, or our troops. They only care about their stupid party, which is full of moonbats.

By "they" I meant the dims have lost.

Not necessarily. The public opinion of the war is changing. What people will hear from dems is that Bush/Cheney may have had a hidden agenda and manipulated intelligence in order to invade Iraq. They will claim the WH/GOP is stonewalling in releasing info. that should have been done over a year ago and they are simply forcing the GOP's hand. They're emboldened by Bush's sagging poll numbers, the indictment, the Delay fiasco and Katrina. Would have they tried this stunt six months ago? No way.

Reid had a fit.

What it tells me is Reid's fit stems from Alito....they are boxed in....this was a one to their base...the Kossacks.
