I know that's the right course, but it never hurts to wish just once we could play this game.
In a world of sound bites Roberts speech is doing nothing. It is a rational breakdown of the idiocy of the Democrats that we can all understand and respect, but who is going to list the amount of info in his 15 minutes?
Oh, but I guess it's ok for the RATS to do it time and time again while the pubs look on....sheesh, for once I would love to hear them say...YOU threw a hissy fit now you have to pay the consequences for that little tantrum! Will there be a consequence? I doubt it! This is a firing shot to see how the pubs will act when the filibuster really HITS THE FAN!!

Roberts is making the dems look foolish....even more so than they do themselves. This is better than we could have hoped for.
Actually, I think its a panicked response to Graham and DeWine announcing they would support the Nuke option and Frist's announcement that, if necessary, he will use it. That gives us 51 votes (with Cheney). The Rat's only remaining threat is to shut down the entire senate so that no business, not even nuclear options, can get done.
This is basically a demonstration of what they threaten if the nuke option passes--trying to shake some support for it.
Imagine that.
How about they just wrap it up today after this "stunt".

Just heard the (oddly enough, balanced) report from the guy MSNBC has at the Senate- he said the Dem's calling for closed came out of the blue- NO Republicans were warned ahead of time. The bottom line is- the Dems had a tantrum demanding the Reps do something that was ALREADY scheduled to take place. This is a complete fabrication from what I can see. Reid had a fit.

In all sincerity, I wish you WERE Darth Vader...there's a neat little trick that you could do to Harry Reid and the rest of those traitorous a-holes.
Of course it won't, but the Dems don't live in reality.
The averahe American just wants them to get along. they aren't happy with Reps, but they are disgusted by Dems.
As a result of this I'm determined to re-elect all Republicans next year just to pay them back and add to the ranks. That wasn't my mood before this stunt. Thanks Dems. You've guarenteed I want your blood more than I want DeWine or Chafee to go down.
