And this is the kind of journalist that gets WH press credentials?
Nice to see that class and proper behavior are held in such esteem. There is a time nad place to be vulgar and crude. The WH is NOT one of those places.

That's OK. On the children's cartoon "Dave the Barbarian" (I think it's on the Disney cartoon channel) which I think has a Y7 rating, they were describing the pros and cons of the dogs that a character could pick as a pet and for the stylish dog, they ended the description with the phrase, "How's that for 'doggie style'." I think that sexualized slang has become so cliched that people don't even realize what they are saying any more, and there is no longer any delimiter between a private adult space where such comments are acceptable and a public and/or child-friendly space where such comments don't belong.

So Roberts, does this explain why CBS is sloppy fourths in the ratings?

Why the surprise. That is the only level of reportership John Roberts probably knows.

If McClellan had any quick wit at all, He would have said "I will not tolerate language such as that in the walls of the white house press room. Security, please escort this man out...any further questions?"

Alito is the kind of judge we wanted from the first.
I don't care what kind of slur they throw at him. The only thing I care about is that he's a constitutionalist. The very thing they hate about him is that he's a constitutionalist, and they are going to throw every kind of insult imagineable at him.
I don't care.
We wanted a fight, we got the fight we wanted. We're going to win it, and they are going to look like fools when we are done.
The mainstream press is made up of conformist thinkers without a single original thought among them. They look to one another for the talking points of the day, and since no one knows what to say, they just pull out the DNC fax and read it. There aren't many bright bulbs in the journalism business, sadly.

McClellan should have called him on that:
"I will not address such a rudely framed and insulting question from members of the media. If you care to offer an inteliigent question, properly framed in manner respecting the dignity of the WH and SCOTUS nominees, I will do so at a future time. Otherwise Mr. Roberts, I will take no further questions from you."

McClellan should have ejected the man instantly and then revoked his WH press pass.Agreed. The Administration's media strategy and team is simply abysmal.
To: NewMediaFan
cbs would be lucky to be sloppy seconds. How low are their ratings now?

McClellan should have ejected the man instantly and then revoked his WH press pass. I don't know about McClellen, but I know his boss doesn't have the stones to do that.
To: NewMediaFan
hey john roberts, how many times have you grabbed your ankles when dan rather came around and gave you his sloppy seconds, or do you prefer older and it was andy rooney?

I see CBS has the same amount of class as they always have--which is to say, none, except LOW class.
