CBS REPORTER TO WHITE HOUSE: ALITO 'SLOPPY SECONDS?' Mon Oct 31 2005 11:26:56 ET
CBSNEWS Chief White House correspondent John Roberts described the Presidents selection of Judge Samuel Alito as sloppy seconds during todays press gaggle with White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan.
John Roberts: So, Scott, you said that -- or the President said, repeatedly, that Harriet Miers was the best person for the job. So does that mean that Alito is sloppy seconds, or what?
Scott McClellan: Not at all, John.
Sloppy seconds is described in the United Kingdoms A Dictionary of Slang as:
Noun: A subsequent indulgence in an activity by a second person involving an exchange of bodily fluids. This may involve the sharing of drink, or more often it applies to a sexual nature. E.g. Im not having sloppy seconds, I want to shag her first.

McClellan should have pointedly asked Roberts to explain what he meant by that. When Roberts got done stammering and shaming himself in the public eye..Scott should have said..>NEXT and not have answered him at all.

Well, duh. Compared to JRB, this pick clearly is sloppy seconds.
That said, it's evidently the best to be expected from this president.

I thought that was Susan Estrich.
If I thought she was really raped years back I'd say that was not funny....

If Edward R. Murrow saw what passes for broadcast journalism these days, he'd cry.
To: NewMediaFan
To elite media beasts, this expression is an everyday component of their social lives.

LOL!
This is yet another reason that Roberts is out of the running for Rather's chair. He's got the right CBS mentality but zero slickness.

I think that sexualized slang has become so cliched that people don't even realize what they are saying any more.I remember when "That sucks!" started becoming an everyday term. Wasn't that long ago. I found it slightly shocking, coming from the mouths of little kids. Not anymore, after hearing it hundreds of times.

Zoe Baird was first, then Kimba Woods, then Janet Reno. Pretty nice job if you are the third most qualified female democrat prosecutor in the country.
Who's that skinny guy on the left side of the photo? :-).

you are exactly right.
Just take a walk through the children/toddler section of any department store and you'll see slut-garb and gangsta-garb are quite acceptable at any age.
