FORMER US President Bill Clinton may be forced to appear in court over a medical scandal which claimed the lives of innocent Scots.
Many haemophiliacs were infected with hepatitis C after tainted blood from American prisoners was imported into the UK.
Glasgow firm Thomsons are representing the families of Scots sufferers who died after contracting the disease.
They allege inmates in an Arkansas jail were paid to donate blood despite the authorities knowing they had AIDS and hepatitis.
They are threatening to call the ex-president, who was state governor at the time, to the witness stand.
The infected bloodwasused to make clotting agents for haemophiliacs who require regular blood transfusions Frank Maguire, of Thomsons, said "These allegations are extremely serious and I am now more sure than ever that there should be a full public inquiry into why so many Scots contracted hepatitis C from infected blood products.

"The relatives of my clients who have died want an inquiry to know how their loved ones came to be infected with such a deadly disease, to expose the full facts surrounding their death and bring to light any negligent or discreditable conduct.
"An inquiry would also help to reassure the public that this sort of thing could not happen again.
"If former President Clinton has some information about how this happened in a jail in Arkansas while he was state governor then I'd hope he'd want to give evidence to an inquiry."
The law firm has already taken court action against the Lord Advocate, Colin Boyd, and Health Minister Andy Kerr.
They are calling for a review of their decision not to hold a judicial inquiry into the spate of deaths

Documentation uncovered showed that this bad blood was shipped back into the USA. Despite numerous requests to the Justice department, we've not been successful in having a criminal probe or an investigation in the States into an obvious crime....
I remember Bloodgate. This is a horrific scandal. It's just unbelievable all the crimes the Clintons have been able to escape with the help of their partners in crime, the MSM. I hate them all.
I'm no Clinton fan, however, I don't see how this really has anything to do with him, unless he personally oversaw all little details in the jails, etc.. more of a symbolic move on the Scots part probably..
Using his authority as the Governor of Arkansas, when the FDA threatened to close the plasma program at the prison (big money maker for the state and others)Bubba put his pals into the program to ensure the bleeding continued.
Millions of dollars that was made from the selling of this lethal blood has gone missing or unaccounted for. Leonard Dunn, Clinton's Democratic campaign chair was specifically tasked by the governor to keep this program going.
This is not a witchhunt for Bubba. The evidence shows that he knew of many of the problems and did nothing to stop it.
this man should be made to pay for his crimes. He i s an absolute disgrace and a joke at best.

A new documentary movie is coming out all about the Clinton Blood scandal, "Factor 8: The Arkansas Prison Blood Scandal". The tainted blood was sent all over the world because there was a prohibition to selling prisoner blood in the USA (due to the known prevalence of HIV and Hepatitis among prisoners). Arkansas was the last state to stop doing this (1994), a couple years after Clinton became president. This has been a big story in Canada all year, but the MSM have ignored it. If it were about Texas Gov. Bush and prisioner blood, you can bet it would be everywhere forever. Paul Martin, the Canadian PM, was on the bd. of directors of the company that bought the blood from Arkansas. He says he didn't know that Canadians were getting sick from this blood. Interesting how a leftist Canadian leader and a leftist American president have wreaked such havoc on innocent people -- I thought they were supposed to be the "nice" ones. Many believe that this is why Vince Foster died, either murdered or by suicide. He was about to be exposed for his legal defense of the company selling the tainted blood (Health Management Associates).
