My personal hope is that Ruth Ginsberg steps down in the next year or so, and that President Bush's THIRD SC pick is someone like Janice Rogers Brown.

"Specter has been quite vocal about his stance on justices who might overturn Roe.we'll see...but I can hear the questions; really? Is that how you thank a President who is solely responible for both of your friggin jobs. (Sen. and Judicial Cmte Chairman) Is that how you repay those who support you?
At any rate, we'll know by noon. I'll bet ya he's on board. He'll talk his way around abortion concerns.

Just having fun with some "core Democratic principles" - I figured you should bone up if you were going to work for the democrats against RINOs. Just having a little fun.

On Fox it's already started: "The President has pandered to the most extreme wing of his political party..blah, blah, blah"You mean the "extreme wing" that voted him in as President? No kidding? /sarcasm

I get you now. I couldn't do it. I'd go nuts by lunch on my first day.
To: TexasRedeye
Krauthammer may not ALWAYS be right, but he sure gave the President and Harriet Miers the rationale for "cover" in her withdrawal. His advice or observation formed the basis of putting right a disastrous situation. His view is the same as my hope: the third pick should be JRB.

You mean, has the Senate learned the Miers lesson. They're about to find out.

The guys who started those cliches knew what they were talking about.
