Per Fox News...
How dare the proles participate in public discourse!
I fear Snowe and Collins may jump ship but we'll see.
That seals the deal in my book!
It's ABOUT time... We got to win this fight.
"BTW, I happen to live in one of the most Conservative Republican towns in the South East!"
................................................
Now your talking. Hoorah.
Actually, we only need one more (besides Graham)....two will get us to 50.
"Philosophy and views are what matters, not the religion of the person."
So religion has no views, philosophy, or influence on what legal philosophy one is attracted too? I disagree with your statement.
FYI..I found the thread on FR..I'll ping you on it..when I read the article last night in the paper..I was very surprised..couldn't believe that Luttig could have so much conservative support given that opinion
Miers is history - but I was PERSONALLY slammed by Miers proponents, FWIW.
Let's ride towards the sound of the guns. Now, NOW here is a candidate.
Regards, Ivan
Interesting, because Fox is owned by a Catholic.
Philadelphia is the common bond of Alito and Spector, iirc.
Its called a fight. If you are afraid, stay home and let those of us not afraid of this fight to fight it.
The RAT scum only have so much power over you as you give them. Right now, your fear of them is giving them plenty.
If he gets confirmed and then ANOTHER SC seat opens can you imagine how nuts the MSM/Dems will go?
That appears to be a figment of your (and others) imagination.
Perhaps you will produce a url link to validate that?
After many weeks of attempting to confirm this seeming "urban myth" by many here, including the owner of this site, I have yet to see where the President made that statement.
Yeah, but you already predicted that the next pick after Meirs would be a liberal. We said that it would be a conservative. You are now bitter about that fact, and hoping Alito goes down so that you can say you were right in your blind support of Meirs. The worst case scenario here is that we wind up with moderate after the game plays out. You were for a moderate on day one.
Two bigtime thumbs up to Alito (aka Scalia-lite)
And the people of Colorado should twist Salazar's arm out of its socket to get him to vote for as well.
Regards, Ivan
Enough with the friggin sour grapes from the Miers crowd. Miers crashing and burning had nothing to do with SMU or being Evangelical. Her 1993 pro-abortion speech was her nail in her coffin. Her stance on being pro-quotas did not help along with a history of donating to Dems. Miers was void of any real conservative credentials. End of discussion. Let's get on with getting the real nominees confirmed.
