On another related matter, what happened to ravingnutter? Haven't seen any posts by him lately. One of his last posts indicated he had gotten a private freepmail that warned him off this story. Any news on raving?

Wilson will never have to worry about anything because the MSM will continue to ignore his lies, inconsistencies, political motivation, and partisan associations. The Plamegate story needs a hero and a victim, and the MSM have cast Wilson in that role, and nothing will change that. Nothing, unless and until it's too late to make any difference. Two liberals wrote a very fair portrait of Kenneth Starr ("The Truth at Any Cost"), and damning of the Clinton White House, but by then it was too late, the public didn't want to hear about it anymore, and nobody read it.
From the headline I thought this article was going to reveal that Valerie Plame is a dominatrix. Ba-dump-bump.

Joseph Wilson, husband of outed CIA agent, speaks at SF State
Says U.S. troops should only be used for training and air support
By Brian Babcock, Tribune Correspondent

SAN FRANCISCO - American troops should be taken out of combat and used in limited ways only, such as training Iraqi troops and giving air support, Joseph Wilson, husband of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, said Tuesday night (10/18/05) at San Francisco State's McKenna Theatre.
Some in the audience urged him to run for political office. But Wilson said he'd been a true child of the 1960s and had ``too many wives and taken too many drugs. And, yes, I did inhale.''
But he said he remained fueled by the optimism of the 1960s and the belief that America could ``once again become a beacon of hope for the rest of the world.''
Wallace wanted so bad to keep the BS going that Rove was still in big trouble. Which US Attorney Ray told Wallace...'he disagreed with Senator Durbin regarding Rove...Fitz's body language in his news conference said it all. Rove did nothing wrong and was not indictable.' LOL.
Hoping the Wilsons' and part of the CIA who ran an op against the WH...is soon toast.
Here is a question for you ....
Some on the left argue that if you read this portion of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee Report :
444 of the SSIC report,
"Following the Vice President's review of an intelligence report regarding a possible uranium deal, he asked his briefer for the CIA's analysis of the issue. It was this request which generated Mr. Wilson's trip to Niger."
It can be argued that Cheney's request generated Wilson's trip. Hence, technically speaking, Wilson's statement that Cheney sent him on the Niger trip was no lie.
COMMENTS ??
Also, the DU are arguing that in the Senate Committee's report the Democrats in the committee said thusly :
"The details of the Committee's findings and conclusions on this issue [Niger uranium] can be found in the Niger section of the report. What cannot befound, however are two conclusions upon which the Committee's Democrats would not agree. While there was no disupte with the underlying facts, my Democrat colleagues refused to allow the following conclusions to appear in the report:
1) The plan to send the former ambassador to Niger was suggested by the former ambassador's wife, a CIA employee
2) Rather than speaking publicly about his actual experiences during his inquiry of the Niger issue, the former ambassador seems to have included information he learned from press accounts and from his beliefs about how the Intelligence Community would have or should have handled the information he provided.
