You couldn't PAY ME to eat there.
It's nice that they are showing their support though.

Very good! Glad to see this. Those of us who live near a Golden Corral should be sure to visit and help offset the costs for this.

mmmmmmmm....Golden Corral. Love that place. At least the one in Corpus Christi.

My old home in KS had a Golden Corral that did this shortly after 911. The food was fine, especially for free.

Now where's my DD214? DD214? Hell, I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze my 46 inch waist into my size 32 dress green slacks.

What's wrong with GC? Perhaps my statement was based on a bad experience. The last particular GC restaurant I visited was quite dirty, and the food wasn't very good at all.

Looking over their site I can't say I'd be jumpin' up and down to eat there either. BUT free food is good and I don't see any other chains stepping up to the plate (heh heh).

Well, that's why I made my second statement. It's nice that they are showing support for our soldiers, sailors, and marines.

Golden Corral has been doing this for several years now. 3 yrs ago in Virginia Beach, the wife and I, waited 2 hrs to get in. We had NO idea it would be that popular!

DD214? Hell, I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze my 46 inch waist into my size 32 dress green slacks. And then go to a buffet? That's a disaster waiting to happen.
For the record I love their buffets.
First trip is recon, don't load up too much then. Further trips are search and destroy missions. Don't even think about breads until the third trip.
I live for the buffet.
