Police said there was no known link between the teen and his victims.

If they lived on the same street, and he was roughly the same age as one victim and her brother, they might look and see if they went to the same school.

Unless one of the families was a recent arrival to the neighborhood, I'd be surprised if there weren't some links between the families. I wouldn't have much confidence in the police department.

"Aliso Viejo is a small, affluent community near Laguna Beach..."

Where mentally unhinged young adults obviously have access to weaponry. *Rolleyes* He could've as easily beaten them to death with a rolling pin, then turned it on himself.

I can hear it already; the CA gun grabbers will be in a dither over this one. Please keep me posted as to how this pans out. Thanks.

The victims' names were withheld pending family notification.

OK. But while I'm ranting, why not release the name of the criminal. Probably means he is from a locally prominent family.

Hmmm. I misread that title as "Police: Teen Goes on Shopping Spree in Upscale Southern California Neighborhood."

When I was a kid I used to think it would be great to have been born into a wealthy family. As I've grown older, I've realized I was the lucky one. Imagine being so miserable that your wanted to kill your innocent neighbors and then turn the gun on yourself. Wow!

Perhaps if CCW wasn't banned in CA the people killed could have defended themselves...

This guy was certifiably dumb...he probably could have landed a book/movie deal and
accquital thanks to a high-profile defense attorney.
(This was in California, after all.)

What's this "teen" BS? The reporter can't say "Man Goes on Shooting Spree..."? I was prepared for the story to reveal the shooter was but 13 or 14, tops.

THE ACLU will likely step in and force the state to charge him as a minor...

GEESH!
