This isn't new. Sentiments like this have been effecting a large segment of the population for years.

That's my feelings about both parties as well.
To: ovrtaxt
The problem is both parties are comprised of politicians.....politicians are NOT your friend.

Yep. The two major parties, and thus Washington, DC. all need an enema. Big time.
To: ovrtaxt
No, only the fool quits. This sounds like more liberal dribble. You don't quit because you feel like your behind or might lose. You press forward.

I'll vote constitutional next election. If no such person is on the ticket, then I will not vote.
They lost many a good faithful conservative over their pandering and prostitution to the money folks this past year or so.

RINOs are NOT fed up.. they are the "conservatives"..
And see a rosey future for the impending "merge" with the democrat party..
Any decent republican has long ago become a radical..
Hopeing for a swing to the right.. which has not happened..
America is sliding down the mucus painted slope of left wing liberalism.. quickly.. Conservative was a vaid term, about, 20 years ago.. NOW it just means RINO..

I just don't know how the Reps can dump on their base in a continuous fashion (i.e., Spending, Immigration, Miers, Medicare, etc., etc.) and ever expect to remain in power - Which from their performances while in command of Congress and the Presidency over the past five years might not make much of a difference if they were thrown out.
On the other hand, the out-of-control Dems are just as loony and irresponsible as their base expects so they don't suffer the erosion that the Reps will..

I'll save my breath over the GOP there is enough bashing of them here at FR. The GOP would be in serious trouble if the Dems were a serious bunch, but how can any group be serious when its major intellectual achievement of late has been that GWB dynamited the levees of NOLA because he hates black people.
