Sounds like Libby isn't going to cop a deal.
***
I sure hope not. I'd like to see him vindicated. A deal won't do it.

Did you get the impression, like I did, from comments on this morning's big thread that Tate was not a criminal defense attorney? It says here he is, but it seems likely that Libby may want another high powered one to assist in his defense.

For nearly 2 years that butt boil fritzgerald told Libby he was not the target then in the last week he sends the FBI to finally interview pflame's neighbors to find out if they knew she worked for the CIA, and then rushes to indict.
A person like that is nothing but a little piece of crap in my book.

Over at the DUmp they were all calling this "Fitzmas."
Well, they were hoping for GI Joes and got a pair of underwear. And I suspect that later they will find the underwear doesn't even fit.

A "deal" most certainly will NOT do it. Just the discoveries alone could be political fodder for Republicans. Going all the way back to you-know--who. And I don't think Mzzzzz. you-know-who wants any part of that. You know the clintons fingerprints are going to be all over everything. I see Fitzgerald begging, yes begging, Libby to cop a plea before this is over. He has opened a huge can of whoop-ass upon himself AND the democrats.
To: PhiKapMom
Maybe he had this guy all along, and MSM presumed him to be a real estate attorney?

Or he could be the same one. Maybe he's not as bad as I thought. This statement by Counsel Tate just goes to show Fitzgerald is an out of control Special Prosecutor.
Tate basically maintains his client, Libby, was wrongfully accused of a crime that didn't exist.

Oh yeah...that's right.
Is that the same as calling 911 for a "bambalance"? (ebonics for "ambulance")? LOL

It's disgusting that democrats use a word play on Christmas which is a celebration of the birth of Christ, and turn that into a celebration of a bogus indictment for cheap political gain.
Eternal shame on democrats.

"Over at the DUmp they were all calling this 'Fitzmas.'"
It's the same mentality after OJ was found innocent. There were hundreds of blacks cheering in the streets, but it took Chris Rock to ask, "Where's my OJ check?" to point out that it meant precisely nothing to anyone but OJ himself. The libs are hoping that Libby will drag the administration down, but they are but a SCOTUS nomination away (or a FairTax senate bill, or any of a million other anti-Marxist things) from seeing it evaporate.
The other shoe is about to drop, and we're the ones holding it.

The indictment, I believe is bogus, it smells. Fitzgerald spent two years investigating, and all he could come up with is a 5-count indictment of perjury and obstruction of justice.

Is bigorously a word?Bigorously comes from the same root as bigamy. In this case it refers to defending oneself from multiple charges at the same time. This is considered legal in Utah.
