In choosing a replacement for Ms. Miers, President Bush should not reward the bad behavior of his right wing base. He should reject the demands of a few extremists and choose a justice who will protect the constitutional rights of all Americans

So, Reid's still among the living? Hard to tell at times...
Aw shut up Harry.
Quisling republic senators what do you say now, go nuclear or just stfu.
sorry republican
Sorry Harry Reid, you and your liberal brethren are going to lose this one big time. If you had any brains at all, you would be telling Patrick Fitzgerald he better not indict anyone on weak and trumped up charges. You are about to witness the wrath of a motivated conservative base. Your boy Fitzpatrick better wise up, and quick!!!
Nah, Reid didn't love the Miers nomination at all. Wink wink...
The President would be well advised to ignore the likes of Harry Raid and Dick Al Durbin and pay more attention to his base.
The radical right wing of the Republican Party killed the Harriet Miers nomination. Apparently, Ms. Miers did not satisfy those who want to pack the Supreme Court with rigid ideologues."

Nice try Dingy Harry -- we did not want to provide any more LIBERAL ACTIVISTS for the SCOTUS. And you just cannot stand it -- choke on it!!!
Yes, the libs are showing their true colors -- they saw Miers as a soft liberal touch they could manipulate. Too bad -- maybe our President will start thinking like a Constitutional conservative and quit tyring to PANDER TO THE LEFT and provide an appropriate candidate THAT IS AN ESTABLISHED CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE.
Nice try libs!!!
Yup. This next nomination will tell us the true character of the President. Is he serious, is he conservative, will he be spiteful?
He should reject the demands of a few extremists and choose a justice who will protect the constitutional rights of all Americans
wouldn't that mean bush should ignore reid and his dem buddies?
(Insert picture of my hand offering Reid my middle finger)
I agree with her withdrawal and that a rock-ribbed originalist needs to be nominated, but the dynamics of the Senate haven't changed.
Limbaugh's original question still needs to be answered:
Do you want to go to war with the Senate Republicans as your army?
As they are now, no. But if we, as the ones to whom they answer (at the ballot box) do our part and bombard their phones with DEMANDS that they vote to confirm an originalist (if one is nominated), then we CAN have an impact on this fight.
ALL HANDS ON DECK....Let's fight to win!
Maybe "w" forgot who brought him to the BIG DANCE.
It is the "right wing" base that he should reward.
And he has ignored that fact for almost a year......some say 3.
Time for the ideological fight of the century.....
If Bush persues the Supreme Court fight as vigorously as the war on terror.....and it is a war....
then he will be greatly rewarded and respected by all.
Inferiority complex?...
a more serious psychological disorder?...
Seriously Harry, get some help.
You forgot the nod and a smile.
Isn't Reid a crony?
"The President would be well advised to ignore the likes of Harry Raid and Dick Al Durbin and pay more attention to his base."
Are you implying that the political geniuses at the White House might have miscalculated? Surely not!
It's not about W - it's about Senate Republicans! All this focus on Dubya makes us sound like a bunch of whiny Democrats.
All you mean right wingers look what you did. Poor ole Harry isn't going to get to vote for the pick he liked. Are you all happy now?
He actually said that? It's not satire?
That does it. Janice Rogers Brown.
