ABCNEWS TELLS WHITE HOUSE OF 'INDICTMENT' Tue Oct 25 2005 19:08:02 ET
"We have double sourced that the vice president's chief of staff has been indicted," a reporter for ABCNEWS claimed to a White House press spokesman this afternoon.
The White House refused to comment on the claim. The network said they didn't need comment, they were preparing to run with the development on this evening's network news broadcast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS claimed to the White House that it had double sourced how an indictment against vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis Libby was set.
A senior White House source quickly determined ABC was bluffing; the report did not run on the East coast feed of the program.

ABC NEWS spokesman Jeff Schneider tells the DRUDGE REPORT: "There is nothing at all true about us having double sourced anything" regarding indictments.

they both should have left after the 2004 election - Xmas eve in fact. keeping them inside the administration, with this "cooperate fully" albatross from Bush hanging around their necks - was a mistake. they should have left, "lawyered up" to the max, and asserted every right as private citizens to protect themselves.
The purpose of the visit might not have anything to do with the questions he recalls. They may have been there to document something that the neighbor isn't even aware of.

I have read everything there is to read about this and am just as confused as ever. I have to admit though I have a feeling that if there ARE indictments it's going to be a free for all and exactly what this administration needs to publicly out the CIA and State Department for their "shenanigans" when it comes to our President and the WOT. Call me crazy but this may be exactly what we needed to happen so that the truth can finally come out.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I say let them. It's not like the dems have a clean house on this issue, Clinton is still their standard bearer for crying out loud.
They will just continue to be dismissed as irrelevant. Most people can see right through this because they believe ALL politicians are corrupt. So this isn't all that shocking to them.

Maybe - I'm speculating as entertainment.
Just seems to me that the events of the last few days indicates Fitzgerald is looking to exit gracefully and with as much ammo as he can muster for himself. I could be wrong . . .
I don't understand why the FBI would be involved in a CIA investigation. The FBI has nothing to do with it at all, unless it's that double agent theory. Is Valerie still in France? She was never questioned. You'd think she would have been questioned first!

Geez, people are freezing down here in tents on the Gulf Coast, Mississippi,and what do we hear? Concern over this overblown smear. FEMA has dropped the ball down here and no one is reporting a damn thing. (Why they don't bring in the military, bring them back I mean, is beyond me. Things would be up and running efficiently and kids would have their promised trailers, which, by the way, over 6,000 are sitting high and dry and NOT being delivered.) Why can't O'Reily and Hannity use there "bloviating" to get this handled? Where is Oprah with her millions, to get inspectors or whoever FEMA requires to help the people. She was sure helpful with that goat gift to Africa.
