ABCNEWS TELLS WHITE HOUSE OF 'INDICTMENT' Tue Oct 25 2005 19:08:02 ET
"We have double sourced that the vice president's chief of staff has been indicted," a reporter for ABCNEWS claimed to a White House press spokesman this afternoon.
The White House refused to comment on the claim. The network said they didn't need comment, they were preparing to run with the development on this evening's network news broadcast, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS claimed to the White House that it had double sourced how an indictment against vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis Libby was set.
A senior White House source quickly determined ABC was bluffing; the report did not run on the East coast feed of the program.

ABC NEWS spokesman Jeff Schneider tells the DRUDGE REPORT: "There is nothing at all true about us having double sourced anything" regarding indictments.

You may be thinking of when Ham Jordan looked down the top the dress of the wife of the Egyptian ambassador and commenting something along the lines of having always wanted to see the Egyptian pyramids. Stupid, but not criminal.

Does anyone see the irony of the press leaking grand jury testimony regarding an investigation on leaks?
1. Convinced Quayle to make that "Murphy Brown" speech, which made Quayle a laughingstock on the late night shows and in the press. (Source: Bill Kristol himself, joking about this to Brit Hume)
2. Bill Kristol convinced Quayle to make a speech critical of Bush 41's foreign policy, right before the kick-off of the 92 campaign. It effectively isolated Quayle from the rest of the administration. (Source, Quayle's book Standing Firm)
3. Kristol was distrusted by the Bush White House, and James Baker wouldn't allow Kristol to sit in on campaign meetings, because he leaked everything to the press. Quayle says that this was because Baker was intimidated by Kristol's intellect (HA!) but that sounds to me like a tale Kristol told Quayle. (Source..Quayle's book).
I have been digging stuff up on Kristol since 2000. He is nothing but a disruptive force and should never be allowed in any governmental position.

They wont. Bush was an idiot for allowing a Special Counsel to be appointed, and for not exposing Wilson and Plame's fraud early on. He has only himself to blame. I said so at the time and was ridiculed on this forum, and told that it was a master stroke which would only hurt the RATs. Anyone still believe that?
Just one of many stupid actions Bush has made this term. Unfortunately, the GOP will pay the price for his lack of vision.
You're correct. In the flurry of reading Drudge and posting here, I got all messed up. As far as I can tell the reporter is under the radar.
