Indictments Coming Tomorrow; Targets Received Letters Today (Latest Lib Rumor)
thewashingtonnote.com ^ | October 25, 2005 | Steve Clemons

Posted on 10/25/2005 3:06:54 PM PDT by LesbianThespianGymnasticMidget

An uber-insider source has just reported the following to TWN:

1. 1-5 indictments are being issued. The source feels that it will be towards the higher end.

2. The targets of indictment have already received their letters.

3. The indictments will be sealed indictments and "filed" tomorrow.

4. A press conference is being scheduled for Thursday.

The shoe is dropping.

More soon.

I just wish they would hurry up and tell us and stop these games. How can the SP indict anyone for leaks when his own investigation has been leaking like a sieve?

This doesn't make sense. How can they indict the VP? He had security clearance and didn't speak to reporters (that I know of)... that leaves Libby and Rove inside the WH...

Does Fitzgerald feel that he HAS to indict someone to prove the last two years of wasted money was worth it?

Man, Matthews of FROTHING at the mouth (and this is a rerun!)

He's talking about people "with the credibility of Matt Cooper and Judy Miller."

"Drudge says Libby was indicted."

It also says "A senior White House source quickly determined ABC was bluffing; the report did not run on the East coast feed of the program."

Maybe ABC was trying to be sneaky....like Judy with "Flame"

Good point, but then he often gives out a poker face. Something else to consider, if Libby was leaking, maybe President Bush isn't crazy about keeping him around? Of course Libby could have always been the 'authorized' leaker.

look at the legal advice Libby got - he is asked by Fitzgerald for a 2nd release letter for Miller, he does not have to provide it, still he cooperates, he had not I assume received a target letter - and in the end, he's led like a lamb to the slaughter and indicted.

it just goes to show that you must exercise any and all of your legal rights and priviliges when dealing with any prosecution.

I like mine already though because each post is also a prayer for our troops (which I find ever so much more important).

Haven't you heard, all the talking heads say not one word of any of this has leaked from Fitzgerald.

This gets weirder every day. Show me a law Cheney broke, other than maybe tearing off his mattress tag.

Libby is clearing out his desk right now. it all makes sense with the threads from last night, the Times story about the "Cheney notes" is how the left will tie Cheney into the Libby indictment - the mantra will be "Libby indicted for protecting Cheney".

now let's see who else goes down. Miller is a no-brainer too, the Times kicking her to the curb is the signal there.

You forgot Bush ... it's all his fault, oh and Halliburton .. they're guilty because they were ready to clean up (to the tune of billions) the WMD (that, of course Sadaam never had, because those poor Kurds died of natural causes).

Cheney will not be indicted and did nothing wrong. the media is simply spinning him into the story, because an indictment of some guy (Libby) that the sheeple never heard of, has no legs.

It will be interesting to see if they were covering for each other because they were having an affair. If this is the case, then the White House will end up relatively unscathed and the left can't bitch, because it will be about sex.
