Nine seasons of crude comedy

NEW YORK (AP) -- With the political relevance of "The Daily Show" and the huge DVD sales (and subsequent hiatus) of "Chappelle's Show," it's easy to forget about that other Comedy Central show, "South Park."
But Matt Stone and Trey Parker's crude cartoon began its ninth season last Wednesday -- and it remains the network's most-watched program. It is also, perhaps, still the most manic thing on TV, with entire episodes created just days before they air.
With a ripped-from-the-headlines approach, it's the "Law & Order" of comedy. The first episode, "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow," tackles Hurricane Katrina -- by way of the neighboring town flooding.
Parker, who turned 36 last week, and Stone, 34, last month inked a deal for three more seasons and "South Park" has begun appearing in syndication in some markets -- both of which assure the world of Cartman, Stan, Kyle and the rest will continue to expand.

Who forgets about South Park on Comedy Central?? Especially considering the OTHER 2 shows that CNN lists? Gee no bias there or anything...

No watches that idiot on the Daily Show. Chappelle is very funny tho.
Southpark is the all time champ for bashing liberals tho, I love that show. I have all their episodes on DVD up through season 5 and I'll not stop until I have them all.
Matt and Trey are geniuses.

yes they are...
Chapelle's Show is funny to be sure, but Mind of Mencia is funnier on a pure comedy level. That and I don't know if Dave Chapelle really wants to do that anymore anyway.

crude comedy? I can't believe what I have to endure when the people at work watch sitcoms during the "family hour." Gay this, sex that...for someone who never watches TV, it's hard not to notice a) how much alike they all sound and b)how sophomorically perverted they are.
and then during lunch they watch Jerry Springer and similar circus acts...it's like the visual equivalent of eating sewage.

couldn't really tell ya...
I don't generally notice such things anyway, but I also watch a lot of TV...
If you don't like sex or gay jokes, South Park probably isn't for you....

I laughed my ass off during the new episode....utterly fits what the media did with New Orleans to a "T". Couple that with the ripoff of 'Day After Tomorrow' and it's golden. Just when you think they couldn't add more, Cartman and Kyle and the "Jew Gold" scene pops up, fantastic!!!!
