Air America: Al's quiet on the eastern front

If a liberal tree falls in the forest, is anybody listening (other than the environmental activist who's chained to it)?

First off, I have to admit to being wrong. When the idea for Air America was announced, I was skeptical that it would make it a year and a half, as it has. But, then again, a decade ago, who would have guessed that Bill and Hillary would ever stay together long enough to celebrate their 30th anniversary, as they did earlier this month?

One of the goals of Air America, since its inception, was to be an entertaining liberal alternative to all the conservative radio out there. This would be accomplished by engaging personalities, news and, most importantly, humor. So far the jokes have been flying, but in many cases you have to wait until the ratings books come out for the punchlines.

Liberal radio's inability to find an audience in D.C. is like a fox going into the henhouse and still coming out hungry.

Maybe liberal radio doesn't play even in liberal bastions is because it's not original. Everything said is straight out of the lib playbook, spouted endlessly from every talking head in the MSM. They're a victim of friendly fire --- overexposure and competition from their own troops.

This article is one of the best dissections of HotAir America I have yet seen.

I live in a very rural area where everyone is heavily armed [with special coax-cable-penetrating handloads--Ed.]. None of the stations around here would dare put that garbage on the air.

This is as good an indicator of how much "legs" the Whig Party's latest series of made up "scandals" is generating.
Last year when frenchie was in there lying everyday these enemy skunks were getting a few listeners. If their base was so excited about how the DeLay indictment would have Bush out of the White house by Thursday, Err America's numbers would be way up. They're not. This is because although the ratmedia is trying its best, not even their low life followers REALLY believe anything will come of all this.

Does anyone even listen to Air America?

The only time I listened to Air America (the worst 15 seconds of my life, by the way) was in my stepson's Toyota. He has XM radio (Air America is the main reason I will not get XM)....Rush rules the (free) airways in this part of the country!!!!

Al could change the name of his show from "Air America" to "Chocked Full of Nuts". Truth in advertising, don't ya think?
