Bottom line, Ford has been found liable for failing to properly warn the public not to recline in their seats while driving. Oh, and to not prop their feet up on the dashboard and take a nap. For some strange reason, Ford is supposed to make sure people understand that cars don't drive themselves.....
All this to the tune of $16.95 millioin.

She's reclining with her feet up on the dash, and it's Ford's fault? How could she think she'd be protected in an accident? If it was in the manual, they'd argue that it wasn't prominent enough.
PRISONER6
Like this?
>>>What they really need is swivel seats so you can turn around and smack the kids.
And a much higer roofline, so you can stand up when you go back there and do it.
THat's what I always thought back seats were for.
I thought it was to keep Tom Cruise away from my car.
Matt, you're being glib.

(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
it was probably sarcasm)
Oh yeah, and if a warning was prominently displayed, they'd argue that the car's design was faulty, since it doesn't prohibit operation of the vehicle while a seat is reclined, or if feet are detected on the dash.
and not using them as hedge trimmers. (grin)
Some folks just aren't meant to drive!
OKAY, then. Coming in the 2007 model year, reclining seats that all snap up and lock in the fully-upright psoition when the parking brake is released.
Vehicles not having thie "feature" will sell better.
Damn "Warnings" take up about half the pages in a new car manual. But yet you have to hunt to find any info on how to due simple maintenance. Of course, nothing is simple about cars these days.
LIBERALISM IN OUR JUDICIARY AT ITS PEAK!!
lol
Reclined seats make for better car sex. Or so my friend tells me.
What organizations or Law Firms brought the lawsuit? What individuals brought the lawsuit? What is their relationship to the Lawfirm or to the organization in question? How much of the money actually goes to the accusers? How much of the money goes to the law firm? All these questions and more need to be brought to attention of the public at once!
What ever happened to "personal responsibility?"
Thank you ACLU for turning American into a "suing society."
Matt? I'm not Matt! Who's Matt?
