Father avoids trial in dispute over gay lifestyle teachings October 20, 2005
CONCORD, Mass. --Prosecutors have agreed to drop the charges against a Lexington father who refused to leave school property after demanding that school officials notify him before any discussion of homosexuality in his son's kindergarten class.
David Parker, whose case prompted rallies by both supporters and critics, was scheduled to go to trial on Thursday for a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
Under the agreement struck this week with Middlesex County prosecutors, Parker will be on probation for a year, after which the charges will be dropped if Parker stays out of trouble. A judge approved the deal Thursday.
Parker, 43, first complained to officials at Joseph Estabrook School in January after his son brought home a book that included pictures of same-sex couples.
He was arrested on April 27 after a meeting in which school officials refused to tell him when homosexuality was to be discussed so he could remove his son from class. Parker refused to leave school grounds despite repeated requests to do so.
The agreement does not include any admission of guilt by Parker, but he must continue to adhere to an order imposed after his arrest that bars him from all public school property in Lexington.
"My wife and I are satisfied with the outcome," he told The Associated Press. "We will continue to move forward as we always have with tolerance and patience in these matters."
Lexington Superintendent Paul B. Ash did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

If that were absolutely impossible this is what I'd tell the tyke to do. The moment that "gay" is brought up, tell the teacher you are sick and have to go home.

Cool.. that page has a link to the relevant law. I've been wanting to read it directly

The problem is that this was diversity training, not sex ed.
The solution is to stop teaching diversity to kindergardners.

I bet that kid was mortified to have his dad dragged kicking and screaming from school.
Who cares what the child thought? The boy's duty is to honor God, and also his father and mother.
There's absolutely no need to talk about sodomites in the public school.

Parker will be on probation for a year, after which the charges will be dropped if Parker stays out of trouble. Translation: be a good little comrade and let the nice liberal, homosexual-advancing school teachers indoctrinate your children that sodomy is good and we won't send you to the Gulags.

Only sickos would be teaching 5 year olds about homosexuality. Apparently that includes all the NEA.

Middlesex County. . . . Of course.

This is one of the many reasons that we homeschool.
My son participates in a regional youth orchestra that happens to have their weekly rehearsal at a public school. I can't believe all of the ACLU garbage that permeates that cesspool. They're currently offering a $500 prize to the best essay on "civil rights". This "school" also has a bulletin board by the front entrance that can only be used by the GLBT (G = male sodomite, L = female sodomite, B = overall sodomite, T = foolish sodomite) club. Did you know that October is sodomite month in the public school system?

I think the kid will be proud to have a father who's concerned about his welfare, don't you?

I think the question really turns on multiculturalism.
The school fascist said that it didnt have anything to do with sex ed so notification was not needed.
The father objected because a kindergarten child was being exposed to two texts one featuring a lesbian "family" the other a "gay" family.
As far as the father is concerned he was right in objecting, he could have handled this differently but the entire case just shows how far the multiculturalists are going to go making sure that every kid is indoctrinated with this crap.

You should have your son submit an essay. It's easy to write the claptrap they expect -- I doubt it would take him much time to compose.

That's a great idea! Then when he wins we can donate the $500 to the ACLJ... :-)
