Time to end this farce and get rid of this abominable pick.

So where in the Constitution does it say "advise and consent" also includes the latest Vegas odds?

What makes you think you won't get a nominee you'll hate even worse the next time?

If that claim wasn't the single biggest insult to the intelligence of the GOP base, I don't know what was.

How could he possibly say that with a straight face?

I'm tempted to try to make some money selling Libby contracts - The bid is up to $70

My only concern is it doesn't say what he would have to be indicted for... it could be something other than outing - I think he's never gonna be indicted for outing but obstruction is not impossible.

How accurate is this a predictor when the public isn't voting? I imagine that the senate basically cares less with the people think. They will vote how they want and we are stuck.

Miers tanking at Tradesports

Get rid of her. She is violating the Constitution clause requiring rejection when the nominee tanks at Tradesports.

The mods are probably busy with the database... there have been several of these tonight. But at least they are fun.

This is hilarious.....I guess no one noticed the ticker at the bottom of the news screen tonight that said Bush vows to ignore all the "background noise" of late and continue taking care of the important issues facing the country like the WOT. I also noticed a little tidbit floating around earlier today but the source link disappeared quickly.

"At about 6:30 this evening, a White House source called to say that whatever strategy that was discussed in "The Miers Support Team: Gloomy and Demoralized" was the thinking of a third-party group, and not of the White House. "The White House has not discussed changing the plans," the source said. "It [the article] may represent what a third-party group thinks, but it is not representative of the mood or the strategic thinking of the White House. We were quite happy with the setting of a [hearing] date of November 7 yesterday, we feel like we're moving forward, and that's a very good thing."

Maybe we had better get over to the trading quick and get a little..hehehe.

LOL!!

How many long time FReepers agree with me, as opposed to those who agree with you?

More agree with me, bud, look at the poll.

You people have no argument, none. Pathetic.

I'm not sure how accurate these things are, one could make a case either way. Last year during the election they seemed to follow the polls and the general momentum of the race. I just think they are interesting to watch because those numbers move by people investing THEIR money like they would do in the stock market.
