Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
"Does everybody know that Lehman (on the 9/11 commission) told
Weldon to expose whatever he could find"
Rings a bell.
Washington State Freepers...I wonder what our esteemed 9/11 panel member Slade Gorton has to say about Weldon's revelation about the USS COLE?
Political teen is trying to get the video

Geez, it sounds like you just described the possible "charges" against Rove...punishing a leaker, that possibly didn't leak classified info....LOL
WhooHooo! Dundan Hunter is my rep. I should have known he would support Weldon. I'll be sure and call his local office tomorrow and let them know I appreciate his supporting Weldon.
So did I, mystery. I hope he finds an avalanche of e-mails expressing the gratitude of the American people for his courage tomorrow.
"WHEN would Bush's Administration MADE MISTAKES re: Able Danger...it was disbanded before he was POTUS, wasn't it?
Yes"
True. But in a sense, Able Danger has still not been effectively "disbanded", becaue weldon and Schaeffer are still trying to finish the job Able Danger started.
Just today, Weldon said a copy of the Able Danger information may, in fact, still exist (contrary to reports.)
So, it was possible that one or more Able Danger people thought, "It's a new administration, I'll try again to get this going."
Not Scaheffer, but there are a lot of other people involved.
If Bush isn't covering up, what is he doing? Has he not noticed. Does this matter not concern him?
They are not charging the Col with anything. They are firing him after having him on "administrative leave" and pulling a paycheck and benefits for, what, a year?
"I have a question, if DOD had given the FBI the information on M. Atta, before 9/11, what would have happened? Would he have been arrested, picked up, questioned, sent back to Saudi Arabia?
The person at DoD would have been arrested."
Well, I'm not sure. That would be the intention of the DoD maybe. But once the info got to the FBI, things might have taken on a life of their own, protecting the leaker. Probably not, though.
You really think some low- or mid-level bureaucrat can sit on this?
Not anyone that far down, probably. But info doesn't come directly into the hands of the cabinet Secretaries. It comes in and filters UP. Yes, I do think it could be waylaid by some career desk jockey with an agenda. Especially if he was on the lookout for it. Anything is possible. Someone didn't do his job and a lot of people died. Can't you just imagine what's going thru this person's head? "OH MY GOD!!" and the docs hit the shredder.
Word got to the "previous administration".Hillary couldn't run as the Second Coming of Clinton if word of this disaster got out. And so Berger was sent forth. Jamie Gorelik was placed etc.
I don't know. I'm just saying its possible.
This is politically very infirm ground. He could be seen as trying to blaim the previous administration for 9/11
Thanx for the ping; I logged on too late.
However, if it is Rumsfeld, that would explain why it is so successfully being supressed!
Confuses me...but, so much does nowdays..
Totally get the point!
bump
Yes. And let the chips fall where they may.
>>>Has he not noticed.
Why yes. THAT must be it.
I just let them know what questions I have aboue Able Danger. thanks for the link.
I have been arguing with a lib on mirc, as to why delay will walk and Rove will be fine..... Takes alot out of a person.. when wanting to play drinking games on the Mark thread...
you have to drink twice as much arguing with a moonbat that reads KOS lmao ;)
