Not anyone that far down, probably. But info doesn't come directly into the hands of the cabinet Secretaries.It comes in and filters UP. Yes, I do think it could be waylaid by some career desk jockey with an agenda. Especially if he was on the lookout for it. Anything is possible. Someone didn't do his job and a lot of people died. OK. I could be wrong, but here's how I see it. Bush knows about the Able Danger controversy. He has the power to find out what is happening in the Defense Department, if he wants to.
I can't believe he's saying, "Well, there's the Supreme Court thing, and all these budget issues. I don't have time right now."
Think about it. Its 9/11. It's the foundation for the Afghan war, the Iraq war, the war on terror, Bush's presidency, in essence. Our nation at this point in time. The world.
So what is it. He's not interested in what happened?
He wants to know, but some bureaucrat says, "Sorry, Mr. President, your security clearance isn't high enough. You were convicted of drunk driving."
