The practice of doing good; active goodness, kindness, or charity; bounty springing from purity and goodness

From my grandfather Verus I learned good morals and the government of my temper. From the reputation and remembrance of my father, modesty and a manly character. From my mother, piety and beneficence and abstinence.

As the British troops marched out to surrender, the British bands played the song "The World Turned Upside Down."

No, don't be sorry. It's really super how we all were able to talk about our pets and love of animals.

I was just speaking about that today with my neighbor. Wishful thinking, keeping my fingers crossed. It's over due. This below zero stuff has got to go. LOL! It sure would be a treat. Especially, with the price of heating our houses. :)

I had to say "goodbye" to a dear K-9 friend of 17 years, last May. I miss her welcoming me/us whenever we came home, no matter the time. Her name was "Lassie", named by my "rotten kid" when we got her; she was a Doxie-Terrier mix, a mutt. She had Parvo when we got her, but didn't find out when she came down with the full symthoms 4 days later...rushed her to an emergency vet clinic on a Saturday night...she made it to Monday, when we picked her up & took her to our regular vet Monday morning. I held her in my arms, along with an IV bag & tube attached to her.

Our regular vet ran some tests, & found that she had Parvo. I asked the vet if she had to be released from her misery, & he said, "well, lets wait 24 hours; so far, she's fighting it."

Lassie pulled thru, & live 'til the ripe old age of 17 (for a do).

Not only I miss her, my "fat-cat" misses her; they were the same age, height, weight, AND where buddies, play-mates. My wife & I have seen her, going room to room, looking for "something", & calling out. My "fat-cat", Morticha, is 17+ years old.
