Perhaps we should do a page with all such judges' photos and info. Twist my arm a bit and I may even consider hosting it. :) (wouldn't take much twisting)

They don't call Austin the Blue Anus of Texas for nothing. Every official is a brain-dead Democrat elected with the help of the local rag, the Austin UnAmerican Statesman. It is disgusting that this most un-Texan of places should sit in judgement over every politician in Texas. That needs to be changed by a constitutional amendment in '06. Are you listening Craddick and Dewhurst and Perry? I don't hear a peep from our Republican state officials and that should sicken the 62% of Texans who vote straight-ticket Republican.

If this is successful for the Democrats, Republicans should do the same thing in areas where they are strong. Time to play hardball!

Shouldn't this guy recuse himself? Fat chance. I vote for another venue.

I have to disagree. This case is so OBVIOUSLY politically motivated and lacks evidence for support. The DemonRATs are looking for the fingerprints, the mug shot, and the perp walk so they can plaster it all over the place and use it running up to the 2006 election. This should not be allowed to happen.

Should I not recuse myself from
ruling on Tom Delay's mugshot?

Pinging flattorney

Have you seen this thread yet? Can we make sure DeLay's attorney knows?

Judge should recuse himself...
It's a conflict of interest. The perception is there.

Hi Phil, don't know when this ruling takes place but this judge should be disqualified. Good graphic!

Personally I think his appearance is just evil looking. He exudes a cold detached smug arrogance. Kind of like the hanging judges of old.... only in this case he would be predisposed to show no mercy to conservatives... but would allow left-wing moonbats off with a slap on the wrist. He also reminds me Judge George Greer (aka executioner of Terri Schiavo).
