The owner of a Portland, Ore., grocery chain has removed Rockstar energy drinks from the shelves. The founder of Rockstar, Russell Goldencloud Weiner, is the son of Michael Savage, the perpetually enraged talk radio host.
Brian Rohter, owner of New Seasons Market, told The Portland Oregonian that Mr. Savage did "his best to take apart the fabric of our society and to attack American values."
In 2003, MSNBC fired Mr. Savage after he told a caller he assumed was gay to "get AIDS and die." He continues to employ a similar tone on his syndicated radio show.
On www.rockstar69.com, Mr. Weiner talks about his father's experience as an "herbalist" and claims his caffeine-loaded beverage is "the perfect balance of vitamins and herbs." Major ingredients are high-fructose corn syrup and glucose.

"Russell Goldencloud Weiner"
???
LOL
That would be a savage weiner alright.
I don't mind drinking Rockstart every once in a while. My first choice is Monster Energy drink though :) Really keeps you awake.
"Oh I wish I was a Michael Savage Weiner, that's what I'd really like to be,....."
That's putting it mildly. Yet people fall for his schtick day in and day out.
If you want a Google GMail account, FReepmail me.
They're going fast!
That is a flowerchild name if I ever heard one. And Savage has the audacity to bitch about dopers and hippy era left overs.
I listen on occasion and usually have a good laugh before he drives me away.
Try Coca Cola's "Full Throttle." Best flavor yet. Very nice.
Michael Savage is a Weiner? Somebody help me out here.
I so enjoyed MS talking about the skunk in his house last night, and how he didn't know what to do about it...sigh...should live with the critters that are in MY house!

"...Michael Savage, the perpetually enraged talk radio host."
LOL! That's a good description of him.
New Seasons Market
Locally owned grocery with 4 locations. Large stores
featuring specialty organic
and health foods, along with conventional grocery items.
Let see, relatively small local chain.
Left wing whacko rant.
Mr. Savage did "his best to take apart the fabric of our society and to attack American values."
And the New York Times
=
Really now, you dumb socialists and communists in the media this is so meaningless economically to Rockstar drinks it is laughable. Now if say perhaps 7-11 quit carrying the drink then that is newsworthy. Otherwise this is just a really obvious propaganda piece that wasted resources and energy to print and publish. Thank you NYT for wasting more of our "scarce" resources and adding to global warming.
It is good to know I am not the only that thinks he is a jerk....I do not know how he stays on the air
Have seen it and agree on the taste. Monster is a zero-calorie drink though (unlike Full Throttle).
Should make a separate post for this letter?
The Full Throttle now comes in sugar-free, and is delicious. We found it at the local warehouse store. Kind of expensive, though...
So if his father did something terrible, he wouldn't want his customers to shop there?
Does it? Definitely got to try it then.
Isn't this what people of the left usually call "McCarthyism."
