All of this may be true, but do people actually believe a confession wrangled out of him by the Saudis?

His attorneys want the confession thrown out. They argue that the 24-year-old falsely confessed after being tortured and whipped by the Saudis, and they say U.S. authorities were complicit in the torture.

I can hear John McLame now... "You see? You see? I told you so!"

But last night, 89 senators sided with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a former prisoner of war in Vietnam who led the fight for the interrogation restrictions.

See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1497443/posts for the source of that little gem.

"Is he connected to Howard Dean?:P"

Probably that whale. Hadn't heard his name in a while. That giant waddling hippo who made "Bowling for Columbine". He's the true father, I think.

"All of this may be true, but do people actually believe a confession wrangled out of him by the Saudis?"

This rumor is a good thing. When our interrogators try the "fake flag" on them, it will scare the living daylights out of them. You hoist a Saudi flag, make them think they've been sent over, give them phony tortures, along with fake blood, fake corpses, and God-knows-what, and the bluff works again.

It's hard to get that kind of thing going when Kennedy gripes about water boarding, and McCainiac whines about panties on the head.

I'm personally of the opinion that if, God forbid, Bush were assassinated and Cheney took the helm, that Cheney wouldn't be quite so "PC" in how he would deal with these animals.

What lie do you want to believe?
Bush I am fighting terrorism, and going after weapons of mass destruction. /Back at the ranch he is selling Pakistan 6 nuclear subs. Pakistan is a Muslim country that supports terrorism and treats Christians like animals.
Or the Saudis, They are also Muslim treat, Christians like animals and support Bin laden.
Hmmm...Tough choice.

Three Agosta 90Bs were ordered by the Pakistan Navy in September 1994 Each Agosta 90B is able to carry sixteen Harpoon Stand-Off Land Attack cruise missiles. According to the Pakistani Navy Captain Iftikhar Riaz Qureshi, who commanded both of these subs in their test phases, Pakistan purchased its Agosta 90Bs to provide itself with "second strike nuclear capability." Qureshi's words imply that from day one, Pakistan's intention has been to tip these missiles with atomic warheads. And guess what? Since Pakistan tested its first nuclear bomb in 1998, every nuclear device it's made has been a missile warhead.
According to Defence Journal, Pakistan's subs have a range of close to twelve thousand miles…they can travel to the Hudson River or the Chesapeake Bay, unleash their missiles on New York and Washington, then still be able to take refuge in mid-ocean, lay low and threaten other world capitals with a similar fate.

"Any sub equipped with nuclear weapons, is a nuclear sub."

Laz: This is a U.S. citizen who grew up in VA - was reportedly asked to go back to America to start and Al Qaeda cell...

Which is why we need to be on the look-out for the enemy within. The attacks in London were carried out by domestics. The same thing will happen here. At this point, I'm more worried about citizens with ties to Islamists and gripes against the government than about people here with expired visas.

Yes, yes, my apologies to this fine, upstanding young man. It is his real name, along with 50 other family members spread across the US, including Alabama. There's even a Michelle and a Barbara. My bad.

No, you have a different definition then most people.

The Agosta 90B's are Deisel-Electric Submarines.

The US Navy's Submarine force is I believe completely Nuclear driven today (with the exception of some research or possibly rescue type subs).

Calling a submarine Nuclear sub because it can "possibly" carry nuclear weapons is wrong.
By your definition every submarine in the ocean that is in any countries Navy's are nuclear because they can "possibly carry a weapon that can have a nuclear charge. Or by that matter they could just carry a nuclear weapon aboard the sub and become the delivery device.

The classification of a Nuclear sub is given to a submarine that gets its propulsion power from a nuclear power plant.

The Classification of a submarine of diesel-electric means that the submarine gets its propulsion power from a diesel and charges its batteries (electric) prior to submerging or during snorkeling operations. Once the submarine is below periscope depth the submarines propulsion is strictly from the stored energy in the batteries which don't last that long (hours) and have to be recharged. The running of that Diesel engine and the ability to get fuel limit the operational range of this type of submarine.

I definitely agree... I mean those with expired visas would call too much attention to themselves that way. It would be rather idiotic for a terrorist to be on a list of that sort. They aren't stupid for sure. The worst thing that could happen (but perhaps the best thing for them) is to recruiting po'd citizens who believe that the friend of their "enemy" is their friend!

What do you think the media will call a sub sitting off the cost of the US with nuclear weapons pointed at them?
“It's just a diesel sub with silo’s that could have a nuclear weapon in them”, I doubt it. What do you think they’re going to put in those Ballistic silos, daisies? Why do you think they want to buy subs with silos? Why are they openly saying, this is what they are going to do? Why would you not believe them, they have done this in the past. Whether or not the propulsion power comes from a nuclear plant is irrelevant to what I was saying, the outcome is the same.
If bush knows, this is what they are doing. Then the only conclusion is he wants them to have weapons of mass destruction.

"What do you think the media will call a sub sitting off the cost of the US with nuclear weapons pointed at them? "

They will probably be in error reporting the Diesel Electric submarine as a Nuclear sub.

You had stated in a previous post that:

"sixteen Harpoon Stand-Off Land Attack cruise missiles"

That is an interesting name for a missile. The Harpoon missile is an Anti Ship missile. I am not familiar with a Harpoon Stand-Off cruise missile. I am really skeptical of a weapon with that name.

It is interesting enough that the Harpoon Stand-off Land Attack missiles are not even mentioned in this explanation.
There are no missile silo's mentioned in this article either. Only torpedo tubes which can launch French version Exocet SM39 missiles (anti-ship.)
http://www.naval-technology.com/projects/agosta/

The Submarines are sold to the Pakistan government by France not the US or not George Bush. They were sold to Pakistan in 1996. So I ask you to think who was the President of the US in 1996 or even up to 4 years before that? I think you will find that a Democrat was in office at that point.

So what is the basis of your statement in post 30 of:
"Back at the ranch he is selling Pakistan 6 nuclear subs."

I believe you were misinformed before you posted your message in Post 30 or post 34.

Hopefully you will understand that people in FreeRepublic are quick to point out misinformation and hopefully you will take this as a learning experience. And share your newfound knowledge with those that gave you your miss information.

I caution you that you may risk being called a Bush-Bot when you post the correction on what ever web site you got your information.
