I agree entirely with your post
I'm impressed! The guy is good.
Morning Morgan, cool in Denver?
"the media and pundits have gotten wrong more often than right"
So important to remember, trouble is there is no one to keep score but us. Great post.
Just another felon speaking up for the RI(ex)POTUS felon.
Me thinks Newt decided to change stride because too many named Conservatives had already voiced dissent, concern or outright contempt about the Miers selection. His voice came late and offerred nothing new. By playing the contrarian with his newfound support, he gets face time. Someone new, unless they offer something really unique in opposition, ala Bork, are now just part of the chorus.
Thanks Seattle Conservative.
Good to see you up and about on the "left" coast. Your input will be especially informative on a day like today.
Now that's funny! Is Burglar arriving on the set in his orange vest? The one he wears while picking up trash on the side of the road. :)
Looking at what she has said and done rather then listing to the very shifting reasons put out by the Whaa! Chorus is what is changing my mind. Not convinced yet but am not hearing anything from the other side that isn't more in line with Hysteric Leftist reasoning then real Conservative thinking. I mean supposed "Conservatives" arguing that you had to get the "best minds from the best schools". HUH? Have any of them LOOKED at what their elites court has been doing the last 4 years? The last thing we want is a member of the club being sent up there. "How will she handle the pressure" A heck of a lot better then the Legal Establishment types HAVE (with the most notable exception of Thomas and Scalia) since they are all so busy looking to the Law guild for love and affection, they seem to have forget anything they supposedly knew about the US Constitution recently!
It's a good thing we have a big tent becasue Kristol borders on wack-job at times.
Yep, he had good answers the whole time. Always hit multiple points, and was getting peppered pretty good there pretty consistantly.
That was very enjoyable.
"I think the Quake is going to get some discussion. The toll is rapidly climbing, now estimates of over 30,000 dead in Southeast Asia:"
It's really terrible and I pray for those poor people. As a Christian, I know I'm not supposed to wish that another human being dies or is badly injured. However, I wouldn't be too upset if Bin Laden and some of his aides were in a cave that "caved-in". Only problem w that is that we'd wouldn't know their whereabouts for a long time or ever, to prove that he went to meet Allah.
BL is probably in Iran anyway.
Keep this up and you'll get the award anyway. ROFLOL
Chris Wallace was (as is customary) on the Howie Carr show Friday, to talk about FNS. He said they tried to get Freeh for today but couldn't.
I don't think you can characterize whatt he did over the week as a flip/flop. He started out saying he didn't know anything about her, which concerned him. He then found out some facts about her and spoke to some people he trusts who know her. He ended the week feeling pretty good about her, but suggested we wait for the hearings.
Pretty hard to describe that as a flip/flop. Now if Kristol or Coulter did a 180, that would be a flip/flop. You might accuse Newt of making up his mind on scant evidence, but that's another question.
Oh I know they aleays find a way to get around their previously made statements. The wouldn't be Libs if otherwise.
But you've already got Reid singing her praises...Mikulski defending her...these are definately going to be interesting times IMHO.
Good Morning! I wont be able to watch much today, I have a weeks worth of Sociology homework due that I procrastinated until today! It is required to graduate, but I cant imagine a more useless waste of 3 credit hours. Anyway, looks like an iteresting lineup and per your comment about bird flu, Id be interested to see what the usual suspects take on it is...
