The army in Zimbabwe is no longer able to feed all its soldiers, military analysts in southern Africa have said.
The Institute for Security Studies, based in South Africa, told the BBC that the army had run out of money to buy adequate daily rations.
This week, soldiers spoke of being sent home on forced leave. The army denied it was because of food shortages.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says Zimbabwe's economy is in decline and food security is an urgent issue.

Mugabe's rule was the only way Africa was ruled before the "Imperialists" took over.

It is the white farmers' fault. The least they could have done is to have taught the armed thugs who seized their land proper farming techniques before fleeing for their lives with only the clothes on their backs.

Except for France which clings to the economic control of the former African colonies and sends troops to kill dissenters as it did recently in the Cote de Ivorie.

once the capital.... the brains, the western philosophy, and the cash have moved on/been destroyed it will take YEARS/ perhaps generations to return.
whatever gets injected will be squandered / misspent as they lack appreciation of value.

When Mugabe tells his miltary to eat the civilians, maybe, just maybe, someone will notice a problem.
There was a television program about the civil war over there. Showed some "soldiers" using the intestines of one of their enemies as a road block.
