"We have the right to kill four million Americans -- two million of them children -- and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. America can be kept at bay by blood alone."

EVERY YEAR ON THE ANNIVERSARY of the Sept. 11 attacks, I've taken stock of how well we're doing in protecting the homeland and preparing for the next terrorist assault, which most Americans believe likely.

No, it's 9/12 but our government and many citizens don't care.

"We have the right to kill four million Americans -- two million of them children -- and to exile twice as many and wound and cripple hundreds of thousands. America can be kept at bay by blood alone." -- al Qaeda spokesman Suleiman Abu Gheith, June 2002

Islam is a lethal meme and must be eradicated.

This lack of urgency, the sense that everything but homeland security is the priority, the diversion of resources to the Iraq war --

At this point I stopped reading and IF I start reading it again I will put on my Tin-Foil hat.

Yes, it is still 9/10 for all voters who support the Democrat Party. These poor souls just don't get it. When their children and families get wiped out by the defenders of Islam, maybe they will come around.

Our military is doing a great job overseas, but what is being done at home? We can never identify and deport every Islamic hardliner and, even if we tried, the hardliners would simply go underground and the imams would stop speaking openly in mosques (but they will will still find a way to spread their hatred).

They will not stop until there is an American Hiroshima and, after that, an Islamic America...so we cannot stop and we cannot expect that our efforts overseas will address this issue. Their are at least two fronts in this war and we are really active in only one.

Since the source of jihad is Islam (not extremism or radicalism), our government must start working with muslims in this nation to change the nature of Islam. If that part of Islam which produces hatred and jihad and the desire for the world domination cannot be purged from Islam, we must construct detention centers and start the process of expunging Islam from this planet by making it an illegal religion.

Can this be done and, if so, how? I have no idea. The point is that we must try or western civilization will eventually be dominated by Islam.

The new Democratic Party is either defending Saddam Hussein or jihadists, they are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots or both.

I just read the post you linked to. Excellent work. You should post that here as well. For that matter, you should send it to every newspaper in the country.

Congrats on a job well done!

Islam has declared war on us and has even attacked us on our own soil. Yet, after 4 years, our country is still not on a war footing.

You asked for it, so here it is, with pleasure yet also a heavy heart that it even needs to be said post 9-11:

Too many people confuse criticisms such as Roger's and certain FReepers (Bush isn't going far enough) with criticisms of the DNC/Left (Bush has gone too far). If Bush is indeed being hard on Al Qaeda, allowing our military to fight as they want in Iraq, and doing all he can to protect the homeland then he has his own administration to blame for not getting the message to the American people. Or worse, allowing the MSM to get the wrong message out ahead of them.

- If Bush is not "too soft on Al Qaeda" then why are we allowing his safe haven in Pakistan instead of giving Musharaf an ultimatum and then going in to get/kill him ourselves?

- If Syria is allowing regional jihadists, equipment and money to flow into Iraq to kill our troops while giving safe haven to former Saddam regime elements (and perhaps WMD), why haven't we eliminated this two-bit regime yet?

- If Iran has been on the "Axis of Evil" list since Bush's 9-11 speech, continues to act like Syria (jihadists, equipment and money flowing into Iraq), and is pursuing a nuke, why are we still just flapping our jaws about it with a toothless EU delegation?

- If the Saudis continue to funnel money to Al Qaeda while Prince Abdullah holds hands with the President, why are we not on an "Apollo Program" to gain energy independence at home so we can give these folks the finger?

- If we're intercepting Al Qaeda messages about operatives slipping into the US to set off bombs or wreak havoc, why is our southern border as wide open as it was before 9-11 with who-knows-who in here poised to gain amnesty and a guest worker visa?

- If Islamo-facism is the enemy, why did we just the other day finally hear this from the President?

- If we are at war, why have will still not declared it and why hasn't the country been mobilized to win it militarily, politically, economically, socially?

- If we are at war, why did McCain Amdt. No. 1977 pass in the Senate on 10/5/05 with 90 votes?

I give the President's speech the other day two thumbs up, but it's far beyond time to follow those words with action. I'm with Roger.

I beleive the President in the media front is being dip[lomatic, behind the scenes I feel he will be somewhat different, So sooner or later he will take the stand he wants to, its just at matter of timeing. Lets wait and see. But they way thing are it will have to be sooner.

Thx...and here's a quote from Roger Hedgecock that is appropriate here, particularly when thinking about Gitmo and the McCain Amendment, and the way we are prosecuting this so-called war...

When the nazis landed on the shores of Florida, a team of saboteurs, they were apprehended, and, under Roosevelt, they were hanged. They were hanged by the neck until dead.

Ummm, I think a good analogy is the KKK. How big a threat are they today after the FBI infiltrated them, prosecuted them and generally made life miserable? I'm sure there are still KKK sympathizers, but they've largely melted into the wordwork. The fact that their heads will figuratively be shot off everytime they poke them over the parapet makes it difficult for them to recruit, retain and get out their message. A similar approach to Islamofacism woul achive similar results.

Oh but the terrorist are waaay to smart for us don't you understand. that's why they are winning everywhere, that's why the entire Islamic world is rallying to them and slaughtering infidels by the 1,000s everywhere you look.

Is It Still Sept. 10 in America?

In many areas of America, specifically blue areas, truth is, yes, it is still 9-10. And its not that liberals just don't get it. They don't want it!
