You asked for it, so here it is, with pleasure yet also a heavy heart that it even needs to be said post 9-11:

Too many people confuse criticisms such as Roger's and certain FReepers (Bush isn't going far enough) with criticisms of the DNC/Left (Bush has gone too far). If Bush is indeed being hard on Al Qaeda, allowing our military to fight as they want in Iraq, and doing all he can to protect the homeland then he has his own administration to blame for not getting the message to the American people. Or worse, allowing the MSM to get the wrong message out ahead of them.

- If Bush is not "too soft on Al Qaeda" then why are we allowing his safe haven in Pakistan instead of giving Musharaf an ultimatum and then going in to get/kill him ourselves?

- If Syria is allowing regional jihadists, equipment and money to flow into Iraq to kill our troops while giving safe haven to former Saddam regime elements (and perhaps WMD), why haven't we eliminated this two-bit regime yet?

- If Iran has been on the "Axis of Evil" list since Bush's 9-11 speech, continues to act like Syria (jihadists, equipment and money flowing into Iraq), and is pursuing a nuke, why are we still just flapping our jaws about it with a toothless EU delegation?

- If the Saudis continue to funnel money to Al Qaeda while Prince Abdullah holds hands with the President, why are we not on an "Apollo Program" to gain energy independence at home so we can give these folks the finger?

- If we're intercepting Al Qaeda messages about operatives slipping into the US to set off bombs or wreak havoc, why is our southern border as wide open as it was before 9-11 with who-knows-who in here poised to gain amnesty and a guest worker visa?

- If Islamo-facism is the enemy, why did we just the other day finally hear this from the President?

- If we are at war, why have will still not declared it and why hasn't the country been mobilized to win it militarily, politically, economically, socially?

- If we are at war, why did McCain Amdt. No. 1977 pass in the Senate on 10/5/05 with 90 votes?

I give the President's speech the other day two thumbs up, but it's far beyond time to follow those words with action. I'm with Roger.

Thx...and here's a quote from Roger Hedgecock that is appropriate here, particularly when thinking about Gitmo and the McCain Amendment, and the way we are prosecuting this so-called war...

When the nazis landed on the shores of Florida, a team of saboteurs, they were apprehended, and, under Roosevelt, they were hanged. They were hanged by the neck until dead.
