And his roommate worked for the Athletic Department. Will someone tell me how a foreign student gets to work for the OU Athletic Department when regular students on campus would love that job?
I am so tired of coddled Middle East students, I could scream. Anyone want a Petroleum Engineering School -- we have one that a lot of us would LOVE to give away.

They are sure one second later, they will meet allah and collect their "reward." Wish I could see their reaction to their real "reward'.

They allow you take take video cameras in the stadium as long as you don't have them in their case. (?) I know, I have taken mine in several times with no problem. I think Gate 7 must be the most lax gate at the stadium. Glad he didn't try there, they would have probably let him in the stadium if security was still as lax at halftime. Everyone sitting around me was commenting we had no bag checks Saturday night in our line.

From what I could learn yesterday, a LOT of Norman is not buying the "troubled youth" or any of the rest of the whitewash. One thing about Norman--you can mess with a lot of things here, but NOT football!

"I've just been told I have slightly high blood sugar -- 103. What this cinnamon thing?"
Some studies have shown that cinnamon can help reduce blood sugar. The main thing, though, is to reduce so-called "high glycemic" carbs such as pasta, rice, white bread, donuts, cake, candy bars, soda, etc., and get plenty of exercise. Exercise "burns" the glucose in your blood before it can accumulate to dangerous levels.

LOL! Disneyland had those go the way of the dinosaur!

Because we are not allowed to do anything that might upset students from the Middle East and get sued by their lawyers! (sarcasm)

I'm interested in hearing your take on the media blackout.

Good morning.
This makes W's border policy even more incomprehensible to me.

There was finally a small mention on the morning TV show of the local FOX affiliate in Dallas - but they were still in "take this with a grain of salt" mode.

Off topic a bit, but I attended my first wedding at which there was tailgating in the parking lot beforehand!

According to rumors, there were three Pakistani's living with him -- they don't know if the other two were students or not.

This has been mentioned on the immigration threads. It's another good reason to crack down on the border mess.

"As of 5:57 p.m. EST, a spokesman for the Oklahoma City FBI office had not returned a call seeking information on why the Hinrichs car had apparently not been impounded." That is what I want to know also.
So much for investigation.

living with an infidel is part of the cover.True, but if I were looking for cover in that manner, I would also not be living in what amounted to the "Pakistani section" of the campus.

My son said the Arab students at Washington State were - almost to a man - extremely arrogant and pampered. They had a lot of money to begin with, and the college administrators kissed their collective ass. And despite their pampered lifestyle, they bore a collective sense of grievance about all the bad things the world had supposedly done to them.
If you read the book "Perfect Soldiers" about the 9/11 hijackers, that arrogance is the most striking thing about them. They had such a sense of entitlement to being fed and housed by the very countries that they despised, and those countries - Germany, England, the USA, etc, were only too happy to oblige. Anybody already opposed to the welfare state will go ballistic when they see how the terrorists exploited it, and with such supremely smug arrogance.

Something to remember about Channel 9 -- they are tied to The Oklahoman and OU Daily whose reporters have been doing a bang up job even though they are having trouble their sources to talk on the record. The Gaylord Family who owns the Oklahoman has a member on the OU Board of Regents and NO ONE is going to tell her they #1 cannot investigate and #2 cannot report if they have two sources.
Her Dad gave millions for the new Gaylord College of Journalism building with the express intent that the College lean right and turn out ethical journalist. They are doing just that -- truth sees the light of day with those up and coming young journalist with an advisor that is as ethical in the field of journalism as you will ever find.

Maybe AQ's scraping the bottom of the recruitment barrel. We can hope.
