Says he already made up his mind before evidence presented
A transcript from this morning's show:
KLBJ host: The Texas Association Business ads. ..
Grand Jury Foreman William Gibson: All this all came out way before I was on the grand jury, these (unintelligible) were in your paper, in Austin paper, everyone else's paper, they flooding the market around here. But those were way before I ever went on the the grand jury and my decision was based on upon those (the TAB ads,) not what might have happened in the grand jury room...
KLBJ host: Oh, ok, Your mind mind was made up after you learned about the ads.
William Gibson: Right, those ads, way back. telling people how, so-called freedom of the speech deal, and I looked at it and they are just telling people go vote for that person, go vote for that person,
KLBJ Host: So they didn't have to persuade you in the grand jury with any evidence, you already..
William Gibson: That was already public knowledge there and way back (unintelligible)...they stated their positions and I could state my position by saying I don't like that.

Did he just admit to some major league misconduct?

I think this has to do with the first indictment -- the one that was thrown out because of the Statute of limitations.

"I could state my position by saying I don't like that"
This guy's about as sharp as members of the OJ (criminal) jury..... it's not about facts and law, it's all about "what I like" or don't like based upon my own prejudices, biases, and whatever info I think I might have gleaned from the media..... all of the GJ members need to be thoroughly interviewed.... a full investigation is needed of how the scumbag Ronnie Earle deceived and manipulated his way to a couple of bogus indictments....

That is pretty good proof that the Travis County jury pool is tainted.

Should have kept your mouth shut, Goober. Ronnie's likely to stop payment on the check now.

I think so - we need someone to comment who knows TX law on Grand Jury service. I would hope that a judge's instructions would include statements that the jurors must evaluate evidence presented to them and must not rely upon pre-existing beliefs, biases, and assumptions.... I don't know if something like this is actionable against the individual juror, but it could help Delay's lawyers to show an appeals judge or panel of judges that the GJ did not follow proper procedures and was infected by prejudice.

LOL...I saw it...looks like old earle hopefully is in real deep dodo. I just emailed Brit explaining to him what an ignorant SOB earle is....he couldn't even quote scriptures correctly.
The scripture DOES NOT SAY 'THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL IS MONEY...IT'S THE LOVE OF MONEY THAT'S THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Wow. Thanks for the help Mr. Gibson. We appreciate your efforts in making Mr. Delay's job easier.
LOL.

And Earle runs around on Monday, knowing this "conspiracy" charge was phony, and gets a money laundering indictment in three hours with a brand-new GJ.
DeLay should insist on a trial here. Earle needs to be publicly humiliated.

Ok I think you are right that was the first Foreman's name -he had to sign the indictment so his name became public. That would make him the same one going on about how much evidence there was against Delay - a former insurance investigator if I remember correctly.

Yes. And is there the equivalent of a mistrial for an indictment?
This case is starting to be historic for screwups.

"the Travis County jury pool"...where the crud in the skimmer gets picked for Ronnie Earle's grand juries.

Found this on the oath which Grand Jurors take, according to the Texas Constition -- this guy seems to be in obvious flagrant violation of the oath he took, but whether that will be sufficient for a judge to throw out the GJ's indictment is another matter:
"I, (insert full and correct name), will carefully consider all information, testimony, and evidence to be presented in this grand jury hearing and will endeavor to the best of my ability to determine if a crime as defined in the constitution has been committed and if it is probable that the accused is responsible for committing the crime."
