***updated...attempted ammonium nitrate purchase?
Veteran journalist Mark Tapscott raises red flags over the MSM's coverage of the Oklahoma suicide bomber.
Who is Joel Hinrichs?
Keeping an eye on the story...
***
730pm EDT update. Hinrichs reportedly tried to buy ammonium nitrate. Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft has details.
The story was broken by KOCO 5 at Channel Oklahoma.com.
Flopping Aces reports: "Apparently the local CBS affiliate in OKC had a report that Hinrichs has been known to visit the local Islamic center around the corner from his apartment..."
Wizbang with details from this morning.

I am sad when I see African-Americans mixed up in this Muslim terror. However, it is a factor I have noticed, but it is not PC to mention it, apparently.

It's interesting that this guys' backpack detonated prematurely. Looks like God was watching over us.My guess is that God is going to keep out of this one. I think our side really benefits from the overall ineptness of our enemy.

My thought is that it is the FBI who is trying to keep the lid on this. The local news media states that they have more info but can't comment as no-one will go "on record". Boren eluded to some of this in his
"Open Letter" written yesterday evening. He stated that when it was obvious the authorities weren't going to issue a press release he decided to do so to inform the students even though he knew it would upset them.
As far as why... it has been said that details were not forthcoming due to an ongoing investigation. Hopefully this means they may have agents in place, or other information and don't want to scare suspects and "people of interest" off. I have to say if the intent is to shut the story up completely or try to say this guy had NOTHING to do with terrorists they are going to have a hard time doing so...

The local news media states that they have more info but can't comment as no-one will go "on record". That's not news reporting, that is a press that has been muzzled. They can report off the record! They do as a matter of policy....Unnamed sources say....blah,blah...etc.
Now for some reason it has to be on the record? Smirk......:-)

"Looks like God was watching over us." Or:
His partner detonated him remotely, thinking he should already be in the stadium..
Or:
A stray static charge or unexpected cell phone call set everything off....
I suspect we'll learn this dumbass was USED.....by a member of the "religion of peace" ----

Maybe the FBI plans to infiltrate, spy on the mosque and whoever attends, and if the real truth gets out, terrorists would panic and scatter, perhaps getting clean away.

9-11 would have been written off as a bad aircraft accident, except for that 2nd plane, and 3rd plane, and 4th plane. Those made it difficult to pass off another terrorist attack as just an accident. You mean like TWA-800?
