I saw the original thread about this case but never have heard anything about it on the news.

"To this point, authorities still suggest Hinrichs' only motive for blowing himself up was suicide. The FBI released a statement Tuesday evening saying that "there is no known link between Hinrichs and any terrorist or extremist organization(s) or activities."
Sounds like heavy BS to me.

"Joel Henry Hinrichs III had inquired about purchasing a significant amount of ammonium nitrate, the primary ingredient used in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing"
Well, it does look as if something bigger was afoot now, doesn't it?

Is there any new/further info about him having a Pakistani roommate and that he (Hinrick's) frequented a mosque?

This is the recurring phrase in most of the articles on Google News about this case:
"...died Saturday when a device attached to his body exploded".
There was much less hedging when the pizza delivery guy in the North East had his head blown off by a bomb that someone else allegedly locked around his neck.

Did Hinrichs blow himself up while the OU band played Boomer Sooner?

Maybe he wanted the AN to make his suicide bombing more effective.

They are saying they will have "more details" at 10 tonight. I'll watch to see what they might have.

Ping to some of you who might be interested in this item. It's becoming more and more evident that this kid was not that tragic 'individual suicide' that the University President is so anxious to proclaim.
Certainly gives a whole new meaning to Boomer Sooner.

"Ellison said the man asked about ammonium nitrate, but couldn't offer a reason why he needed it. After the bombing, Ellison said he thought nothing of it."
I find it really hard to fathom, after OKC, in a suburb of OKC, that someone would come into a place, ask for ammonium nitrate, give no reason why he wanted it, and NOBODY FOLLOWS UP ON IT.

Given all the news after the Oklahoma City bombing, this jackass out to be horsewhipped just for being so stupid.

I am listening to Rick Roberts subbing for Michael Savage today.
Roberts said Jihad materials were found in the bomber's apartment.
Someone posted in the live thread Saturday that they talked to the bomber's frat brothers and they said he was not associated with Islam.
===
Apparently, there is still more info to come to light on this.

Neither was the unibomber or Eric Rudolph and according to FBI claims Tim McVeigh.

When was that notice at the Air Force Academy about watching out for Jihadis at the stadium or something like that.
Both the AFA and this guy are from Colorado Springs, right?
But there's no connection! Move along!
