It's possible the Jihad material may be incidental. Right now the only thing he seems to have in common with them is a sick fascination with homemade explosives and suicide.

I hope you don't mean me. I just heard of it this morning.

Tell me, how reliable are the news sources that are saying diddly squat about this? I challenge their reliability. Hagman has an exclusive, and so WND is being sure to credit him. Time will tell. People say, "Let's wait and see" until someone comes out with news. Then its, "Let's hurry up and condemn," especially when its hot news not being discussed by the 'big boys'.

Why is there a news blackout?

Does anyone know how much the media (print, TV, radio, etc.) hauls in revenue-wise from football (or any pro or college stadium sport) every year?

It is millions upon millions of dollars.

It would be interesting to view a national football game with empty stands. No concessionaires, no cheering, just dead silence as a leery, freaked-out public stays away from stadiums in droves because of bomb scares.

Many colleges and universities would go under with no athletic department revenue.

Pres. Boren understands this well. So should we.

This is your answer to "why" there's a news blackout.

The WND was persecuted by the IRS back when Clinton ran office. They helped this forum get public notice, and people around here bash it relentlessly. Please name one fabricated quote by WND.

I tend to agree with you. It's phikapmom and her eyewitness sources, NEIN, and a few blogs. THAT"S IT!

The rest is up to the pajamahadeen, I guess. But we're all tinfoil freaks and Dan Rather isn't.

I agree that there are many excuses for suppressing a free press.

WND's going to trash its own credibility

How do you trash a dump?

Exactly. Same reason that jet that crashed in Queens a few years ago 'wasn't terrorist related'.

But when Freepers who are interested in national security over money try to get to the truth, we're just wild-eyed psychos.

How ironic. I just received an email newsletter from Daniel Pipes, titled STUPID TERRORISTS located here:

http://www.nysun.com/article/20938

[SNIP] Why can't they keep out of trouble until the big day? In part, because terrorists, like other criminals, are usually not the sharpest knives in the drawer; and in part because their ideology and hatred cause them to disdain the enemy, leading them to take unnecessary risks.

As a result, the rest of us are a little bit safer.

Why is this story in WND and not on the AP wires?

That is what I believe happened, too. I've seen very little about this story in the media, and no mention of a second, unexploded device, which was mentioned in the first report.
This kid's "emotional problems" are now over.

What about the real terrorists, the TROP, who would have had no problems with killing people in that stadium? The experts say that another attack is inevitable. How about deporting every last one of these people right now? Get them out of this country and keep them out. "Inevitable" my foot!

As if I started it......If you really think WND is a great source, I imagine you approve of Farah's story today on Harriet?
