"Then whosoever heareth the sound of the 8hofar and taketh not warnning . . . his blame shall be upon his head."
Esekiel 33:4
This coming Monday, Oct. 3, at sundown with great solemnity, the curved horn of the shofar will be lifted once again to sound the distinctive wailing notes -- Tekiah - Shevarim - Teruah - Tekiah -- in synagogues throughout the world to herald the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah.

In all seriousness... and I'm not sure of all the correct protocols, but prayers and blessings for Jews around the world on the observance of the new year.

The Ten Days Of Repentance And Atonement culminating in Yom Kippur. Every year Jews are urged to examine their souls and seek forgiveness of sins from those they have wronged and seek forgiveness from God of sins inadvertently committed against Him. And the entire community petitions God to be inscribed in the Book Of Life for the year ahead.
