[Dole speaks to jihad mom about war]

RALEIGH, N.C. -- U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Dole and peace mom Cindy Sheehan met privately to discuss the war in Iraq and parted as divided in their views as ever.

"Some of the inflammatory statements that have been made by Ms. Sheehan and her political organization undermine the overall War on Terror and are extremely detrimental to our men and women in uniform in harm's way," Dole, R-N.C., said in a statement after the 10-minute private meeting on Thursday.

Dole, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, was "a gentle lady," and "a warmonger," Sheehan said. She used the same epithet to describe Sen. John McCain, a Vietnam veteran who has supported the war in Iraq, after a meeting with him Wednesday.

"She just expounded on the talking points of the Republican Party," Sheehan said after visiting Dole's office. "She's 100 percent on board with the war and I'm 100 percent against the war."

Dole told The Charlotte Observer that she began by expressing her sympathy for the loss of Sheehan's son, Casey, a soldier who was killed in Iraq.

But Dole said she also told Sheehan that her "name-calling of the president and discrediting the war -- that's not helpful, that kind of language It's harmful for the morale of the troops."

Sheehan's conference with Dole was one of several scheduled this week as part of her campaign to persuade members of Congress to explain the reasons for the war. She spoke before a massive anti-war rally Saturday on the National Mall and was arrested Monday demonstrating in front of the White House.

Dole said she told Sheehan about Saddam Hussein's record in Iraq of raping and gassing his own people, reminded her that he had ignored multiple United Nations resolutions. Dole said that Iraq had become a breeding ground for terrorists, so it was necessary to fight the war.

Sheehan said Saddam bought the weapons he used on his own people in the 1980s after U.S. aid allowed Iraq to buy arms instead of food.

Dole said she believed she answered all of Sheehan's questions.

"She stays on the Republican message and gave the president's key talking points (and) she did not answer one question that I asked," Sheehan told the Winston-Salem Journal.

What's amazing about some of the narrow-minded and intellectually bankrupt comments on this board is that many of you firmly believe what you say. It seems that the statists that make up this board are resolved in their shallow convictions. Jihad Mom? Are you serious? Her son went to war and died for THIS COUNTRY, and she has no right to question its leadership?
_______________________

"Intellectually bankrupt?" Oh, you sound so smart.

Ms. Sheehan is probably the most "narrow-minded" person in the news.

And yes, I'm series. My IQ is hugh, too.

Here's some background on Sheehan:

Cindy divorced her first husband and left her son with him to be raised while she became a political activist for the Democrat Party. She had very little to do with her son in his growing years. She remarried. The 1st husband remarried.

The original father raised the son with his new wife. They miss their son and mourn the loss of his life. They have stated that they are very proud of their son and that they agree with the stance of America in Iraq and on terror. They said that their son was eager to serve and to go fight the terrorists in Iraq. He volunteered.

Has the MSM covered them?

So the son dies in Iraq and then Cindy shows up to make a stink. She gets an audience with Bush. That was not enough. She goes to Crawford and demands another audience. Does the MSM carry the ongoing saga of Cindy?

You bet.

Cindy didn't care about her son. She let another woman raise him. Cindy doesn't care about the other soldiers in Iraq. Cindy cares about her liberal, agenda and about using the death of her son to lobby against Republicans and Bush. And the press is helping her. Why?

Then a few days ago, Cindy's 2nd husband filed for a divorce from Cindy. It looks like her 2nd husband is fed up with Cindy.

Actually, I think meetings like this are very constructive for the GOP. If Cindy Sheehan can't even reach an agreement with a dull, milquetoast Republican like Liddy Dole, then she comes across as even more unhinged and irrational than she was yesterday.

Cindy, whenever I read about you, I can't help but think of the National Lampoon song "Deteriorata". The chorus is so YOU!
You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.
We're all laughing at you behind your back, Cindy. Perhaps someday, if you manage to enable sufficient synapses in your brain, you'll become aware of it.

Meetings with Sens. McCain and Dole have depersonalized the conflict. Cindy's a moonbat. If she can't get along with an "even Republican" and a gentlewoman like Mrs. Dole, it's Cindy that's intractable.

Now here demand to meet a second time with the President rings hollow indeed. Nothing would have come from it.

OPEN LETTER TO CINDY SHEEHAN (Must Read)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1491832/posts

Proof that hanoi kerry is behind baghdad sindee

by FReeper Mom of Two Soldiers

"OPEN LETTER TO CINDY SHEEHAN:
Residing in the same town as you once resided
and knowing your family,
I must ask you, "Whatever are you thinking? ..."

"...Cindy, you've changed since the Kerry campaign
contacted you in early July of last summer..."

"...Finally, and most disturbing,
how can you support a group that supported John Kerry,
who on April 7th, on National Public Radio
stated that Al Sadr had a "legitimate voice"
and that the Coalition (including your son)
should not have closed down his newspaper
after he called for the deaths of U.S. troops..."

Still don't think hanoi kerry and baghdad sindee aren't connected?

http://meetwiththemothers.org/userdata_display.php?modin=50&uid=454

Sen. John Kerry [D, MA]

Meeting Status: Had Meeting
Answers to Cindy's Questions
1. What noble cause? “This is an artsy question that is hard to answer. However I can tell you that a war based on lies is not noble, but a war based on bringing freedom to people is noble.”
2. How many more lives? “If we can not achieve the goal of bring freedom, I do not want to see any more lives lost in this war.”
3. How many lives are you personally willing to risk? “I will say the same thing. If this war will not bring freedom to the Iraqi people I am not willing to personally risk any lives.”
4. What are you doing to bring our troops home? “I believe that we are in a critical two month stage right now. The Iraqi people are supposed to have an election in December.”

Other comments made to Cindy during the meeting:

-He told Cindy “What you are doing is saving lives.”
-“I can not tell you how much I hate what he (Bush) has done.”
-“Rumsfeld is a disgrace.”
-“There are countries that will not become involved with Bush.”
-“What we are doing now has hurt the strength of our military.”

So do the "Move On FReepers" who think we should ignore
hanoi kerry also think that baghdad sindee
should continue the attacks on the President and our Troops also?????

Read my tagline and look for the "Move On FReepers"

1) They don't care what hanoi kerry is up to.

2) They don't believe that hanoi kerry
is behind the anti-war movement.

3) "Swear" that hanoi kerry is finished
and everyone should "get over it" while
anyone who knows hanoi kerry
knows he and hanoi jane
are behind the current lies
and anti-war movement now,
just as they were in the 60's and 70's.

3A) Swear that dan blather is done.

4) Refuse to uphold
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3
http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxiv.html
and condone the traitor remain in the US Senate.

5) They "swore" klintoon, hitlery, hanoi kerry, sanbdi ber(bur)glar, al bore, jane beno,
wouild be prosecuted for
pardongate, chinagate, the bribes in upstate NY in the 2000 NY Senate race, waco, etc, etc,
"when" the "time was right".

6) Become irrational in their posts when
confronted with real facts.

john kerry:

"I will vote against the nomination of John Roberts to serve as Chief Justice of the United States.
I refuse to vote for a Supreme Court nominee who came before the Senate intent on demonstrating his ability to deftly deflect legitimate questions about his views, opinions and philosophy.

If he is confirmed – and he may well be – the Roberts Court will shape the course of constitutional law for decades to come. It will decide dozens of cases that will define the depth and breadth of freedom in America – our commitment to civil rights, our dedication to civil liberties, our devotion to privacy and a woman's right to choose.

With that much at stake, Judge Roberts needed to show us where his heart is. Instead he recited case law and said little about what he really thought.

While I recognize that other members of the Senate will legitimately make a different choice, I will vote “NO” on the Roberts nomination. "

All they do is delay Cindy's inevitable de-legitimization.

Actually, I think they may be helping to run Mrs. Sheehan into the ground. People are mostly fair and believe that although she had already met the president and shouldn't meet with him again, what harm could come from meeting with MOC? Well, they're all coming out with the same story and Mrs. Sheehan attacks them all. The primary common element is Mrs. Sheehan and her utter hatred for anything American. There will be very few people left who believe that she has any contribution to make to the ongoing war dialogue.

You may be right about this. If you are, then it's ironic that McCain and Dole would be instrumental in helping it occur. I certainly don't think it was ever part of their intention.

We may not have to worry about Sheehan much longer, she is under investigation.

Cindy's "Katrina Relief" Spends $17K For Media Equipment, $0 For Victims

An excerpt:

As of this writing, the local police, the Red Cross, the Louisiana Attorney General's Office and the US Department of Justice are all conducting investigations into the VFP's Katrina activities.

Guess we better get ready for the VRWC rantings from the moonbats...

Oh my! I had no idea that Cindy didn't raise her son. I have one daughter I raised alone (well, until she was 12). I would have fought anyone to my dying breath who tried to take her away from me. This woman really is using her son's memory. But she really didn't know him as a son, did she? Has she ever worked for a living?

An interesting scenario is starting to play itself out. The election campaigns are barely two years away. There is no way that the war will be over....and frankly, I doubt if we have brought out more than 20,000 of our troops by that point. Cindy will have hnndreds of hours of video tapes saved up. The "Cindy Saves America" campaign will likely start up by January 2008 and will feature Dole, McCain, and whatever dimwit Republican she can trick. It will be played at campaign fund parties, etc....to help raise money for Hillery. You can already see where this goes. Anyone that takes her serious...simply makes themselves look bad. She is an idiot...all 10 cents worth. For any network to feature her....simply makes them look stupid. But they all see the next election and the "cindy campaign" sitting there....and they know they can be part of it.
