DES MOINES, Iowa -- The fiancé of Noel Miller, the mother of a 5-year-old girl who was found in the Cedar River, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography.
Evelyn Miller went missing July 1. Her body was found six days later.
On or about about July, Casey Frederiksen possessed computer images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to court documents.
Frederiksen was arrested by the U.S. Postal Inspection service Thursday night, according to a news release. He is set to appear in federal court Friday afternoon.

What is a surprise is that he is still breathing.
Between the two of them, I wonder which one is the more accomplished liar.
I am sure that Noel will be charged with something. SHE removed the hard rive and asked a neighbor to hide it. So if nothing else we have "aiding and abeting" or evidence tampering.
Tanya Matinez, the neighbor to whom the hard drive was given, told me that not only did Noel "freak out" on her for turning the hard drive over to police, but Noel's Mom and sister also harrased Tanya both at work and at home.
Side Note to "There goes tractor" fan....Maybe you arent out planting soybeans but you think about that show a lot and even buy things related to the show. it the same with veiwing porn, your mind becomes set on what you "feed" it on a regular basis and depending on your mental status some will act out such garbage!!!! I AM NOT SAYING "THERE GOES TRACTOR" IS BAD
I was making a joke about the video, FRiend :-). Yes, I know that we're influenced by what we view ... if nothing else, we bought "There Goes a Dump Truck" and "There Goes a Police Car"!
what a lowlife family - that poor child never had a chance
Didn't Casey just slit his wrist the other day? Or am I thinking of some other loser?
I just have one point to make. Investigators won't say how old the minors are. Minor by legal definition is anyone under the age of 18. So the sexually explicit images might be a 5 year-olds, but they might also be of 17.5 year olds. He was only charged with possessing the images not making them ... etc. (In Iowa law minor is 12 or 14 and above. child is 12 and below, I don't know whether the federal system works the same way)
You've got the right loser.
PS. IMHO, they should lock up the loser "mom" too.

(Charles City - KCRG) -- Noel Miller's fiancé Casey Frederiksen is in a hospital after attempting suicide Wednesday night. Noel is the mother of murder victim Evelyn Miller.
It's been three months since the five-year-old girl's death. Investigators still have not arrested anyone in connection to the case. Thursday, Noel talked to KCRG-TV9 News about what led Casey to hurt himself.
Police drove Frederiksen to a Charles City hospital around 7:00 p.m. Noel said she was shocked when she watched Frederiksen cut his wrist. "I was just...Oh my God. I couldn't believe what he was doing. I called 911, and I was trying to get the knife away and the cops were trying to mace him. They took his arm and he slammed the arm he cut...slammed it over his head. Then, he broke his rib. And, his collar bone is all messed up," Miller said.
Miller says a number of things prompted Frederiksen to cut his wrist. "The enforcement, and [Floyd County Attorney] Marilyn Dettmer and no answers to Evelyn's death. The people are still out running in the streets. He just doesn't know what to do anymore," she said.
Diane Miller is Noel's mom. She says Frederiksen has trouble with anger sometimes, but he would never hurt anyone but himself. "He never lashes out at a person. He'll lash out at a tree, a wall, a steel post, my car. But, he's never bodily harmed nobody but himself," Diane Miller said.
Noel says she still wants to find Evelyn's killer. But, now she's worried about Casey, too. "He's doing ok. He's just a little frustrated, and doesn't know how to deal with things so he lashes out on himself," Noel Miller said.
(snip)
No, you have the correct loser.
Yeah this is also true. Or maybe they just wanted to separate the couple and this is the only way they could. The actual indictment says its interstate because the hard drive was made outside of Iowa, so they were stretching that just to make it a federal case. Every hard drive is made outside Iowa.
And Noel hiding the drive is suspicious if that is true. I think she has admitted it was her's. Of course the girl who had the drive was Tanya, who also has a child with Dan Slick, one of the last two men who supposedly saw Evelyn alive.
At least Tanya did the right thing and gave up the computer to the police.
What a twisted tale of lowlife relationships these people all have.
Just.J "indictment says its interstate because the hard drive was made outside of Iowa so they were stretching that just to make it a federal case. Every hard drive is made outside Iowa."
Sorry but NO!!! Not because it was physically made outside of Iowa but because the images were downloaded onto the computer hard-drive and then mailed to Casey from out of state. Or because the images were emailed to him from out of state. If what you thought were true then he would be charged with an international crime as the hard-drive was most likly made in Japan.
Here is the full text of the grand jury indictment:
An indictment against Casey E. Frederiksen states, "In or about July 2005, in the Northern District of Iowa, defendant Casey E. Frederiksen, knowingly possessed and attempted to possess images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, said images having been produced using materials that had been shipped and transported in interstate and foreign commerce, namely, a computer hard drive, which was manufactured outside the state of Iowa. This in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252A (a) (5)(B).
According to the U.S. code it could have been obtained via a computer so it didn't have to be mailed. could have been emailed or downloaded
(B) knowingly possesses any book, magazine, periodical, film,
videotape, computer disk, or any other material that contains
an image of child pornography that has been mailed, or shipped
or transported in interstate or foreign commerce by any means,
including by computer, or that was produced using materials
that have been mailed, or shipped or transported in interstate
or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer,
shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).
"Noel's Grandpa Chrisite on his wesite, seems to backing Casey yet again. He says for us to remember that Casey passed a lie detector test. I have said it before and will say it again..Polygraph test are not admissible in court because they are unreliable. Someone skilled at lying can easily pass one and someone who is really nervous can fail one while telling the truth!!"
Richard Christie isn't Noel's Grandfather, he's Andy Christie's Dad, Evelyn's Grandfather.
On the subject of the polygraphs: Casey stepped up to the plate and voluntarily took one early on. Noel, on the other hand, made police get warrants to search her home, was generally uncooperative from the start, and DIDN'T take a polygraph. She pulls the strings in the relationship, and she's acting most guilty, IMO.
I also hear that Noel's apparent new boyfriend is a relative (by marriage) of Randy Patrie. Are things coming full circle?
Talked to someone at the hospital (who probably shouldn't be talking) and she said that Casey's injuries weren't consistent with a suicide attempt. He had one cut on his outer forearm, no injuries on the inside of his wrist or the inner arm. While the cuts he had were deep, they weren't life-threatening. I would think if he were suicidal, he would have been stuck in the hospital for a longer period of time (can't they keep people in for 30 days?). Based on this information, I find it interesting that NOEL has been the one saying it's a suicide attempt. Is she trying to make him look guilty?
Noel has also stopped talking to reporters and from the KCRG report, it looks like she was running from them (with her new boyfriend). I wonder what the stimulus was for this sudden change. She's such a sick freak, I wonder if those pictures were HERS and she convinced Casey to take the rap from him. I also wonder how with two adults in the home, with two people who used the computer, investigators are only tying the picture to one of them. More of the anti-male bias in our society?
"These had to be real clear pics of children not willing older teenage girls."
I guess we'll find out Monday.
Sorry, I meant to say EVELYN'S Grandfather. I was debating the legalese of the indictment. I was not tryig to prove Casey guilty. I have said before that Noel, IMO, is a big player in this and I am expecting some serious charges to filed against her soon.
I also knew that Casey hadn't attempted suicide when he was released from the hospital in less then 48 hours.
Noel hiding the hard-drive and not cooperating with police speaks more then any words ever will.
Question: when a computer is used by several people (family and friends) possibly the same people knowing each other's passwords and such, how would a court prove that any ONE person veiwed or produced the images?
She doesn't act like an innocent grieving mother does she?
I can not beleive it!! Casey is getting up to 260 years in prison, $3 million in fines and Noel gets a slap on the wrist!! Don't you think America's legal system could do better??? She just forgot that she's the one who was parting with Randy and Dan??? She always made it sould like they were Casey's friends, yet she has "met" Randy like 10-15 times, Casey only 4. Seems kind of fishy to me.
