My brother, Eric, will be attempting to get his children back legally from his estranged wife in a little more than 5 hours. He has not seen his children, Korin (age 10), Damon (aged 9), and Aaron (aged 8) in over a month, and they are his entire life.
My sister-in-law is an extremely disturbed individual with numerous psychiatric and physical problems, and ran away with the children one day while my brother was at work. He does not know where any of them are, has had no telephone contact, and has been searching frantically for them ever since.
Would you please pray that Eric can be reunited with his children, and that none of them come to any harm? Unfortunately, my brother lives in a state that automatically assumes the mother to be the better caretaker, but in this case I am hoping the judge will see otherwise.
Thank-you for the update. This poisonous culture, with its narcissim-encouraging and socially destructive messages bears much blame. As does Angela, for choosing to follow the destructive impulses in her heart--made seductive to her by this poisonous culture.
I'll continue to pray for all of them---including you.
Thanks for the update. Prayers continuing!
Amen
Carolyn
Much wisdom in this post....thank you.
We ask God's continued blessing on this family. Amen!
Bless you, Aracelis. I will keep on praying for you.
Prayers here.
Lord, I ask thee to touch these struggling souls with Your grace, guidance and wisdom. May these deep wounds be healed and may these children know happiness, security and love. And that these may grow up healthy, happy, and without burden.
Amen.
Thank you for the update. I will pray hard for this family. God's grace and mercy to you and Eric's family.
I am an optimist, and strongly believe your brother's pain will soon be over. My prayers are with him.
But like you said, daddypatriot, I believe this will all be over with soon. The Holy Spirit has given me a great sense of peace and calm. Thank you all again, and may the Grace of the Lord be with you and your loved ones always.
Eric has complied with all the conditions surrounding the temporary supervised visitation orders, filled out various forms required by the guardian ad litem and had an extensive interview with him, and he reminds his children every time he sees them that this situation is not their fault and that he is fighting for them.
A bit of information has come out of these visits with the children. They are living in some sort of group home, Angela is not working and does not have any money (even though all but $25.00 of Eric's paycheck goes to her weekly), and that Angela has violated the restrictions imposed by the judge several times by taking the children across state lines.
Angela has filled out the forms requested by the guardian ad litem, but refuses to meet with him. She has also not allowed Eric to see the children several times, nor does she allow the children to speak with him on the telephone for the 30 minutes Eric is entitled to once per week. Additionally, the children are all showing varying degrees of emotional distress, with Aaron (the youngest) being affected most severely, and Korin feeling completely depressed and hopeless.
We are concerned that this group setting has permitted the children to be abused in various ways.
Angela's lawyer has not responded to any communication from Eric's lawyer or the guardian ad litem.
I do not know all the issues that will be addressed at tomorrow's hearing, but I do know that Eric's lawyer will request that Angela be required to undergo psychological testing along with the children, and to cancel the supervised visitation order. The guardian ad litem will also be presenting his findings tomorrow.
Please remember Korin, Daimon and Aaron in your prayers. We are concerned that Angela will run away with the children again once she hears that she must undergo psychological testing. Thank you all so very much for supporting my niece and nephews with your prayers!
Asking Christ for intervention.
God bless your family and guard the young ones.
Asking God's help in this distressing situation.
Continuing to pray for your brother, his children, and you.
prayers
God be with you all!
Strength unbounded.
