Rialto, Calif. -- Rodney King, whose videotaped beating by Los Angeles police led to the deadly Los Angeles riots of 1992, was arrested for allegedly making threats following a fight between his daughter, his girlfriend and an ex-girlfriend, police said.

King, 40, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of making criminal threats. He was held on $25,000 bail.

Police were called to the King home shortly after 4:15 p.m. Authorities said King's live-in girlfriend, Dawn Jean, 29, got into a fight with daughter Candace King, 23, who also lives in the home.

The daughter allegedly assaulted Jean, leading Carmen Simpson, Candace King's mother, who also lives at the home, to get involved in the fight, police said.

King allegedly threatened to kill his daughter and Simpson. Authorities said the daughter, who called police, said King was armed with a handgun, but it turned out to be a toy.

Hubby will taste the soup and say, "Pretty good, but it needs more cowbell."

What does that MEAN?

Don't know for sure, but it might mean I have a fever and the only cure is more cowbell.

Anywhere besides a blue state, someone would have popped a cap on him by now!

"...he tried to run down a transvestite prostitute in his car."

How does a guy in a tight dress and platforms outrun a guy in a car?

I had heard that he was dead. I can't say I'm relieved at learning otherwise; more like profound disappointment.

Don't forget Bush Senior's foolish role in all this. The cops who saved King's life were acquitted by a local jury. Lying in hospital in LA, I watched the entire trial. No reasonable man could have found the cops guilty of anything but doing their jobs. After the verdict, Tom Bradley, the Ray Nagin of his day, advised his African-American constituents to, "Take to the streets, show your feelings." As an aside, as he was walking off-camera he mumbled, "...but keep the peace." See if this video ever re-surfaces!

If Bush Sr. really wanted to win the election of '92, which I have always doubted, he should have had this man shot after the riots started, as probably was legal under the Insurrection Act. Instead, he ordered the DOJ to try the acquitted cops on a federal "Civil Rights" rap. THAT jury, intimidated by the riots and fear of another, voted to convict. Even the ACLU thought that was Double Jeopardy, but then more politically correct heads in that very liberal body prevailed, and they withdrew their complaint.

The very police officer who prevented Rodney King, PCP crazed thug with a very long and sordid record of violence, from being shot by a female CHP Officer was sentenced to 7 years!

Order today is kept in the rougher parts of LA by Korean shopkeepers, who will shoot to kill (and often do) rather than risk looting or property destruction. The more illiterate Democrats in LA have enjoyed their last riot. Now, they know the consequences. A pity they aren't the official consequences.

Geez, this is the eighth time I can remember. DUI's, speeding and what you listed. From CA to PA, NJ and some other places.

Well, do you have anything to say?

I mean, three women are fighting, I get hit over the head, and I get arrested? The cops are out to get me.

Unfortunately, while I am being sarcastic, I am sure that some dim-bulb Al Sharpton type is already asserting such a thing.

Farrakhan is saying they blew up the levees in New Orleans to kill or displace all the non-whites.
