I 'believe' it will be Owen.

I wish it were Brown.

It could be any number of others, including Luttig - but I will be very shocked if he nominates Gonzales (though I don't have that negative an attitude towards him as many here do).

I don't remember where I read it,(probably somewhere on FR!) that Bayh announced already that he was voting NO< and it was a sure sign that he's running for President in '08. Of course, you could be right that he's angling for the VP slot. It makes sense.

I took the quiz and it came back with.....drum roll, please....

JANICE ROGERS BROWN!

Only 3% of quiz-takers have gotten that result. I'm amongst the elite!

That was a fast vote.

Sure was. But the positions were all known in advance, so no need for gaming who votes last, etc.

None of the MSM talkers seem to agree with my earlier prediction, which I'm sticking with. I still think Bush will pick Joy Edith Clement from Louisiana. Chatter last time around, was her interview with Bush didn't go well, (whatever that means). But I think Clement would be a hard one for the dems to beat up on, all things considered.

Hold my feet to the fire on this prediction, I feel really good about it.

How could I forget about that? All we need are 67 Senators to agree and Ketchup Boy is surfing full-time.

Alright! Swear in Judge Roberts and let's have the next nominee. I hope the President waits to disclose his choice till 9 PM tomorrow night, just to mess up the MSM!

That is what I heard as well, from a source (I actually have a source for the first time in my life!) I trust. He said she was in the final two.

Chief Justice John Roberts is very promising.

This is one of the most crucial appointments in our lifetime.

Standing between a US Senator and a microphone could be the most dangerous place on the planet.

However, if you live for danger, that is the best place to be..

I hope he appoints the meanest conservative possible. I want to hear the RATS scream some more and watch them foam at the mouth. They are just too entertaining!

I just hope that he brings more "common sense" to this court. They allow to hear the Anna Nicole Smith case and put on hold the case of Roy Lee Ward. This pervert raped and killed the sister of my son's girlfriend. My husband was on the jury, this guy deserves to be toast. My son and his girlfriend met after the trial/sentence was over. He got the death penalty and Indiana Sup. court threw out the verdict. Overwhelming evidence, him standing in the house with the knife in his hand....

78-22. Roberts is in. Let's hope for the best. He beat CJ Rehnquist's vote by 13. Rehnquist was approved to replace Warren Burger, 65-33.
