Attention All Canadians Please sign this petition

The Canadian government has put nearly $9 billion into "foundations" that are beyond the reach of the auditor general. Given the corruption that exists in other government programs that ARE in sight of the auditor general we must recognize the likelihood that these funds may be subject to government misuse too. Please sign this petition urging Paul Martin to open these foundations to the auditor general...

Ahh, what's a few billion dollars stuffed in a Liberal slush fund out of public view? Canadians just don't care from what I hear on the news. In fact, those nutty lefties on Toronto love the crooked thieving liberal government, as long as the welfare checks keep coming, and goodies like free government baby sitters for those poor welfare moms who just have to get away and play government slot machines.
In fact, they love them so much the approval rating is up to 40% according to the polls. Opposition leader Steven Harper was boo'ed and hissed by the media today for pointing out a LIE Paul Martin was telling. Truth? Honesty? Responsibility for the public purse?
Nobody wants that in Canada. Just tax the working poor more if they pilfer too much. Canadians don't mind, especially those who are sucking on the government teat and getting hand outs at the expense of those that work.

I gotta say, I agree with your post, even though I'll sign the petition.
It is totally aggravating, the apathy on the part of so many Canadians. Not people here on FR or at Free Dominion, but honestly ...
Up here, caring about a cause, about honest government, feels like banging your head against a brick wall. NOTHING ever changes.

When I cut & paste the url, or click on your link, this is what I get:
"566 Response HTTP Version Unsupported

Maybe it's a problem with my computer? That could be why there are no signatures??
To: Nathan Zachary
You are absolutely correct. In the minds of the majority of Canadians (Liberal and NDP supporters), the question is not whether socialism is a good thing, but which form of socialism should we follow. Any other form of goverment is immoral. It doesn't matter how corrupt the government is as long as political correctness and socialism are enforced, the ends justify the means.

Dear Prime Minister Paul Martin,
In light of your attempts to reduce the "democratic deficit" we request that the estimated $9 billion currently contained in government foundations be opened to the scrutiny of the auditor general.
Sincerely,
