Working With Other Organizations and Websites
* Does MoveOn know about other organizations offering similar services?
Answer:
MoveOn is coordinating with the Red Cross, the NAACP, America's Second Harvest, and many other national organizations, as well as other online services offering housing to Katrina's victims. We encourage you to assist these other organizations as well as they offer comfort and support to the evacuees.
Because MoveOn.org either is or works directly with CPUSA.org
They use to have the interactive links right on their site until we started posting them here.
This jpg is from one of their 2003 sites.
Look at the United for Peace sign up at the top left of this screen capture.
Look closely at the Blue on Blue text underneath the 'Continue' button. It says MoveOn.org
Now the action for where you enter your name to sign up goes to:
action="http://moveon.org/wmdpledge/" method="get" name="quicksignup
>>>But this was known weeks ago. Fox News reported it several times right after the hurricane.
Well then it isn't an FR Exclusive. Can you post what Fox reported? I've not seen it.
Thanks.
Aren't they working with Cindee Sheehadi?
I know, I'm late to this party!
My group donated Asian Water Buffalo to a shelter in Louisiana.
My Church collect monies and clothes.
My other group is currently down there working with security.
So, all of our efforts went directly to the victims.
I've clipped all the html :)

Another anti-DDT Malthusian is Sierra Club director Michael McCloskey, who said that the "Sierra Club wants a ban on pesticides, even in countries where DDT has kept malaria under control... Thank you for that tidbit!

Treasurer: WESLEY L BOYD
PO BOX 9063
BERKELEY, CA 94709.
Committee Details:
Wesley L. Boyd, former president of Berkeley Systems, Inc. and President, Moveon, Inc., Berkeley, California, looked into the future and created the pioneering Web-centric architecture of ProtoGenie. He was assisted by Dr. Scott Fitz, School of Optometry, The University of California at Berkeley and Stephen Boyd, President, Webdraulics, Tucson, Arizona, both of whom shared the Web-centric vision of ProtoGenie.
Is Stephen Boyd related to Wesley Boyd?
The scientologists are noted for confronting mental health problems so I'm not surprised they showed up in numbers for hurricane relief.
I believe I saw Stephen Boyd's name on one of the items where I was looking for info on Wesley. On some trust they both were members of. I'll see if I can find it again.
Stephen Boyd, President, Webdraulics, Tucson, Arizona, gave ProtoGenie the rare combination of Web mastery and project understanding to create the Introductory and promotional pages of ProtoGenie online, assist in the development and application of the toolkit on the Web, assist development of the online help files, and host and maintain the ProtoGenie Website.

They are all named Boyd (almost) so my guess is that it's a family-run business.

Ok - I didn't know about that. Good screen capture.
Fox News did not report anything about Mary Landrieu's site, but about a week or so after the hurricane, they were citing different websites that people could go to if they had housing to offer for the evacuees.
They mentioned one called Craig's list (I think I have the name right) and then they mentioned a couple of others, including the MoveOn site, and they said at the time that it was affiliated with MoveOn.Org.
I specifically remember hearing them report this (more than once), because I made a mental note of it, but I'm not sure which broadcast I heard it on. I have Fox News on all the time, so I can't pinpoint when this was. Sorry.
I've also been blessed to get connected with a great effort in Spanish Fort, Alabama. As a group within the much larger effort, we're on our 3rd truckload of food and supplies bound for the Prosidee Pantry & Center of the Spanish Fort UM Church. Their warehouse has been filled and emptied several times over. It feels good to get directly to the people with no waste or overhead!
