You make some goooooood points.
Some Freepers said they wouldn't watch it. I always like to see what is being fed to those who willingly eat anything that's given to them.
Why would anyone watch this when House was on?
This turkey will die very quickly, I predict. I am sure it stinks, plus many movie stars just don't make in the world on series TV, for some reason. They don't have that intimate quality. Bette Midler, Faye Dunaway, the list of has-been movie dames who bombed on TV is long.
If you compared the bios of the Glenna Davis' character and Condi, they would be almost identical in many ways.
Both are brilliant College types, experts in their field, tasked to White House against the "better" judgement of conventional wisdom, and dare I say it both better candidates for The Oval Office then a lawyer whose claim to fame is that she couldn't find her own legal office's records in her office.
HOUSE ROCKS!
bttt
I take exception to that. I AM NOT RUTHLESS!!
My husband suggested we tape the episode, just to see what it was going to be about. I suggested that, if he wanted to live to see Wednesday, he never again even suggest such a thing.
I cought that last night. My name is Earl was very funny.
I am betting that ABC will stick with it for a long time even if the ratings are not there. Their collective wet dream is to get Hillary elected.
I am sure that alot of washing machines at Smith College were on spin all night long after The Elect Hillary Show finished.
"What's interesting is that ABC spent money on this and is giving it airtime. And if the ratings aren't there, it'll be even more interesting to see how long ABC sticks with it. And who continues to advertise on it."
I will gaurantee that the Neilsens will be found to be tampered with after this pile of dreck tanks. Maybe they should buy out the contract of the West Wing and put them on back to back.
Since you proabably can't prove that this series was designed to promote Hillary. I doubt that it's illegal, but if people don't watch, the series will fail. So I will not watch, being the mean nasty Republican I am.
Not to mention the absolutely hilarious "The Office", which immediately follows it.
From the show:
Geena Davis - 4 Noble peace prizes! She's considered a philosopher and is a specialist on the middle east!
Her Daughter - "She rather vote for Pat Buchanan!" - as said by Geena
The Husband - Is that a Bill Clinton clone or what? The guy talks kind of like Bill and has his hair cut like Bill.
Donald Sutherland - An evil man! When Geena goes to make her speach in front of congress, the teleprompter turns off! She looks back at Donald, and he smirks! But no no! Geena is a smart cookie. She does the speach without the promter. She IS the President!
I couldnt stop laughing.!
My last name's Allen. I seriously wish they had choosed another for this broad.
It was up against House, Amazing Race, AND My Name is Earl.
Good riddance estrogen-West Wing.
Anybody who doubts Hollywood's west coast Leftie bias, just go to any website on political contributions such as "Open Secrets" and do a search. A search for (occupation) "actor" and (residence) "California" reveals 161 reported contributions of $250 or above in 2002 and 2004, 158 to Democrats and leftwing causes such as moveon.org. A similar search for "actress" shows 178 contributions, 177 to Democrats. That's diversity, Hollywood-style.
