Hours before New Orleans Police Superintendent Eddie Compass announced his resignation, Tony relayed some hot information he had heard from his Capitol Hill sources. It regarded an FBI investigation currently under way.
You can go to the source above and listen to that segment of his radio show.
Someone needs to crosscheck the names of the phantom police officers with the names of those who voted for Mary Landrieu in the disputed 1996 Senatorial Runoff Election between Landrieu and Woody Jenkins.
Recall that Jenkins was winning by about 95,000 votes statewide after all but the Orleans Parish voting boxes were in. Orleans Parish did not report its votes until 6:00 AM the next morning, about 8 hours after all of the other Parishes had reported their totals and reported that Landrieu received a net 100,000 votes more than Jenkins giving her a 5,000 vote victory.
Jenkins rightly called foul and set about proving voter fraud. He documented about 7,450 fraudulent votes, 50% more than Landrieus 5,000 vote margin.
The Senate caved in when all of the females in the Senate and House marched on the Senate and dared it to not seat Landrieu.
And I'll bet you're absolutely right. The Dims are pretty transparent. After the hurricane who were the three screaming the loudest ("accuse the other side of doing exactly what you're doing", in this case accusing Bush and FEMA of being slow and inept, when it's actually you who are slow, inept, and, oops, CORRUPT to the core)? Oh, wait, let's make that four, if you count Senator Landrieu. She was screaming loudly too. So, we have the Mayor, the Police Chief, the Guvnah, and the Senatah screaming loudly. Hmmmmmm. And, notice how subdued they have been the last few days? Just hmmmmmmmm.
A couple weeks ago I thought if one dug around in the Guvnah's back yard one might find some really nasty skeletons. Now I can think of her, plus three more. Start digging.
Gee; who'd have ever predicted something like this might be at the root of why the pols in LA were so scared of letting the FEDS have control during the emergency????
:-)
I wonder if the same person is on their rolls under more than one name.
%%%%%
This would explain the ability of cops in NO to get by on their reported very low salaries.
This will also be used as an excuse for the felony abuse of payrolls. Obviously, Bad President Bush stopped sending the money for 100,000 police that Good President Clinton sent to poor deprived Nawlins.
Great day in the morning! Talk about a dysfunctional state!
Senator Landrieu said, if Bush knocked LA government again about their response to Katrina, she'd hit him.
She later tried to back away from that remark.
we see a lot of news first on FR from various sources - we old timers are used to that.
probably within the next couple days somebody like the WashTimes or the Wall Street Journal will pick up this story...
Instead of calling New Oleans the Big Easy they should call it the Big House.
I was wondering of any of Clinton's 100,000 new cops were around. I looks like 700 were in NOLA.
"This will also be used as an excuse for the felony abuse of payrolls."
Ha! I think the New Media [the one that counts] is fed up with excuses for the NOLA government. What about those out-of-state fire fighters who went down to help? First they had to get 'sexual harassment' training before doing any rescue work, and then they were sent off to hand out flyers.
A corrupt and broken Compass will always steer a ship wrong - especially when such as Incompetent Nagin is at the wheel.
And they would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those meddling kids.
I now understand why Compass asked the reporters not to question his motives as to why he retired...
"Instead of calling New Oleans the Big Easy they should call it the Big House."
Good one! Or the Big Sleazy.
I can already see billboards on Interstate 10.
LOL
Personally, I wouldn't have thought this way. I'm truly floored by this. If this "FBI investigation/ discovery" turns out to be a truthful story, this could end up being one of the most important scandals of the last 100 years.
You know, dead corpses will float after a flood. The skeletons have arisen.
"I'll be going on in another direction that God has for me."
To the Federal pen in Atlanta.
You've just gotta love government.
