Maybe he's a crook but he's not responsible for the lies. Those lies came from rumors from people within the Dome who thought they were true, and messaged them out. The media followed.

Excuse me, but if the guy thought that was true, he should have had his ass and a bunch of cops inside the Dome with his weapon drawn. He's the (or was) freak'n head LEO for that city!

The best I could say for this guy was that he was totally incompetent. And I have to forget about basic logic to think that. He is a political hack and someone, probably from Baton Rouge working with someone in the D(n)C vetting with media "consultants" in NYC, was writing his tag lines for him.

Even a 60 I.Q. boob wouldn't screw the pooch like this clown did.

I have never lost faith in this man. I know he does his best every time. It might not always be what I would want him to do but I never distrust his motives.

I'll join you in the Dubya Dance.

I'll repeat my prior statement...in a nutshell. IMO while the President was stepping up to the mike and taking the ultimate blame for the FEMA response in NOLA (which he did due to the MSM storm of criticism of his administration) his Justice Department and FBI were looking into the backstory as to where all the Federal money, police response, etc., went. That is how is has to do with President Bush. He publicly acquiesed...but privately his people were dotting the 'i's' and crossing the 't's'.

Then schedule a Katrina for those cities so corruption will be exposed. And, and, a hurricane might do huge improvements for their environs

Who is the head of LA FEMA?

March 25, 2003

Retired Marine Col. Terry Ebbert stepped into the local spotlight last week as the nation went to war in Iraq amid national warnings of possible terrorist reprisals.

Ebbert, 60, has been directing the city's new Office of Homeland Security and Public Safety since his appointment by Mayor Ray Nagin on Feb. 11. A highly decorated war hero and the former executive director of the nonprofit New Orleans Police Foundation, Ebbert has been given major powers and responsibilities as an executive assistant to the mayor. His duties are commensurate with his $114,676 annual salary.

Ebbert is charged with coordinating the city's terrorism response capabilities and obtaining federal and state funds for homeland security. He also will oversee the police and fire departments, the Office of Emergency Preparedness and city Emergency Medical Services, and the 911 Center or Orleans Parish Communications District.

His duties extend beyond a crisis or special events such as Mardi Gras. Ebbert has responsibility for the daily operations and planning of all those departments as well as the management of their budgets, Nagin told Gambit Weekly last week, after presenting his plan to re-organize city government to the City Council. "Mr. Ebbert is responsible for all matters related to public safety," the mayor said.

"The superintendents of the Police and Fire Departments and the director of the Office of Emergency Preparedness all report directly to me," Ebbert stated in a Feb. 28 interview. "I report directly to the mayor and those three agencies report directly to me." (Nagin later transferred EMS from the city Health Department to Ebbert's command.) If there is a disagreement between the homeland security chief and the police chief or the fire chief, Ebbert says: "I have the final say over bringing them all together so we all agree. It's a team effort."

Wonder how many other urban police departments were scamming the federal government's 10,000 100,000 cops program, instituted by the chief scammer of all, Clintoon?

If the FBI found 500 ghost officers, you can bet that NOPD "hired" them under those Washington DC grants. Remember Bill Clinton kept bragging about hiring 100,000 police officers. I bet NOPD just created fake officers, then took the federal money and split it among themselves.

450 cops salary is a huge chunk of change....who was getting the money.

Blanco, Landreiu,Watt, Hillary, any DEM pol in the lineup.

Areas with the potential for supporting organized crime (gambling, prostitution, drug havens like LV, NO, Atlanta, etc) are usually run by crooked politicians. The DEMS powerbase comes largely from Mississippi, Alamaba, Louisiana, Arkansas. Areas with large populations of poorly educated, easily controlled populations.

This has EXPOSED the situation to the AMERICAN PUBLIC.

Now you know why Hillary and James Watt were there to ADVISE BLANCO, before the problems in the Superdome were known.
