Hearings beginning now on C-Span- Michael Brown will be grilled.
Have at it, folks:)
Quick! Does anyone have the timeline for what really happened and when? Local radio station is disputing timeline. Thanks in advance.
I'm sure glad Taylor didn't switch over to the GOP. What a lying, drama queening ($3 gas BEFORE the storm?) POS.
Taylor: You get an F minus in my book for your response to help people in Mississippi.
Oh! You mean the guy who was so indignant and nasty to Brown was the one who went to his own house?
Someone, somewhere has the looter pic with a tub full of Heineken (or similar).
Yes, so they can put gas in the cars they don't have, to drive on roads that are impassable, to go to find friends they don't have in other states.
If these people DO have cars, they are probably old cars and pickup trucks, so 5 gallons of gas won't get them more than 60 miles away.
Ahhhhhhh....I've been waiting for the NG and Iraq question....
Iraq War. Get Cindy Sheehan on the bat phone. This is her area of expertise.
Oh jeez...'half the Mississppi and LA National Guard was Iraq'
Aha! An hour into the hearing and the IRAQ card is played.
This guy is a FIRST-class jerk.
Ridiculous, for a number of reasons.
1. What good is a $20 tank of gas going to do when your car (if you even have a car) is under 3 feet of flood water?
2. It is not the job of George W. Bush to keep your gas tank off E.
3. If Taylor is paying $80 for a case of MREs, he's getting ripped off. You can get them on the Net for less than $60.
yeah, you knew that was coming.....so predictable
NONE of these politicos want to take responsibility for their own area/state. It's shameful.
Socialism on the march.
Brown: The states have national guard troops available to them and I've never had a governor tell me they couldn't get national guardsmen help them.
Taylor: Your local FEMA rep didn't distribute national guardmen well because they sat around when they could have been delivering food.
How about SAT phones? Doesn't everybody need one of those, too?
I tell you, we are heading toward the federal government handling ALL of this and I am NOT happy about it. Not one bit.
You have to narrow the request. The timeline has many branches.
Pretty boy grandstander, now insulting Brown.
if you don't go on offense right out of the gate, the media fills the vacuum with their version of events, and that's what sticks in most people's mind. add to that the "I take the blame" speech by Bush - and we are SOL now. we aren't going to be able to turn this around 4 weeks later by getting the facts out - most americans aren't listening. we may be listening here, and on talk radio - but we already knew this story, its not news to us. but for the sheeple, this is going right over their heads.
you will never be able to shake the "Federal government slow in responding to Katrina" talking point from the mind of most americans.
Congressman Tayor is a bleeping JERK!
HE JUST SAID...."maybe the President made a good move when he asked you (Brown) to leave your job.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
